Beautiful setting at the base of Mt Remarkable. Large shady gum trees & relaxed atmosphere. Lots of walking & bike trails to enjoy. From the moment we arrived, I was greeted with a big friendly smile & chat with the owner on check in.
Clean updated amenities.
Short walking distance to Jacka Brewing for wood fired pizza & drinks, Museum & 2 Pubs. Can't recommend highly enough after spending 6 days here ?

Receptionist working on 24/11 was absolutely lovely! Rooms are basic but super clean! I stayed in a double ensuite cabin on a Sunday night. Park was virtually empty. Everything you need. Only downside are the cockatoos.

Powered and unpowered campsites. There are some good camp kitchens. There are bathrooms on both sides of the creek but the ones near the reception building are definitely better.
Very popular for mountain bikers.
Campfires are allowed if it's not fire ban season
Lots of families with kids when we stayed

The plots may not be the biggest but they make you closer to your neighbours, which is good for a chat. Bring a TV cable to plug into the point provided. The campsite is brilliant for easy walks to the two local pubs and the 'bike shop bistro', and the fabulous brewery (did someone say *brewery*...yes...hic! - and it does pizzas?) Don't forget the local museum. You can also have a fire pit at your campsite, just purchase a bag of wood at the site.

I must say I was pretty disappointed at the state of this place. Clearly the owners do not care about cleanliness or hygiene. It wouldn't take much to employ someone for a couple of hours a day to clean the amenities. When we got there, I went to use the toilet, it was filthy. I went to the same toilet the next day, still just as gross, and the next day. So in 3 days, no one had come to clean them, or even replace the toilet paper.... Camp kitchen needed a thorough wipe down as everything in it was covered in grime and dust... Showers, toilets, sinks, pretty much everything is left to the people staying to clean. One of the dirtiest and grossest parks I've stayed at, and it wasn't even that busy so there is really no excuse for the filthy state it was in...

We walked through as we walked to the monument in the Conservation Park. It is a beautiful short walk. The caravan/camping area was packed due to the long weekend it looks like bush camping sites, but quite lovely.

Hiking the Heysen Trail, we dropped supplies here, and stayed overnight on our way north. They kindly accommodated our last minute request to upgrade to a cabin. At all times the staff were obliging and friendly, giving us useful advice and helping us on our way. Thanks team.

A very picturesque caravan park at the foot of Mt Remarkable. The sites are a good size, the camp kitchen was very spacious, clean and well equipped and the amenities block was fairly new. Fire pits were provided for each gully site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
