Really friendly, helpful young man at reception. Rooms spacious and comfy King sized bed. Fantastic for us as our two little dogs were made welcome. Right in the heart of Lygon St and all the fabulous restaurants. Great value.

Melbourne Carlton Central is not luxurious but clean, neat and comfortable rooms. The bed is very comfortable. Our unit is equipped with kitchen and dining equipment. Also, there is a washing machine and a dish washer. The location is strategic but not too close to the roadside, so our unit is not noisy. The staff is also friendly. Overall, we were able to stay in a place that made our visit to Melbourne very memorable.

Having read some somewhat negative reviews we were very pleasantly surprised at the great quality of our stay. The rooms were clean and tidy, the bed superbly comfortable, the shower was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
The location is great (and no traffic noise) and the in house parking very convenient. All in all it was very pleasant and we will be back!

Can be a bit noisy. Was a bit smelly. Each morning had rubbish bag next to our door as it was by the lift. So I’d say the cleaners left it there to take out once finished, not great.
Beds were comfy. Pillows need changed very flat and only 3. Location ideal for what we had on. A few of us didn’t have milk in the fridge but in saying that reception was helpful.

It was relatively affordable for a room with kitchenette, living room space, and two bedrooms (one shared shower) and it came with amenities like washer dryer and dishwasher, a fridge, kitchenette with utensils, water kettle, a microwave, a toaster and a functioning induction stove. We appreciated the space, the dining table and the balcony. The location was very good as we were very close to where we needed to be for work (a five minutes walk down Lygon St to Fringe Hub) and was very close to lots of food along Lygon St. We loved that there were so many cafes too where we could just go downstairs and get our morning fix. The rooms are not new feeling, but we did not mind at all as they were clean. The reception counter has specific opening hours so do check before arriving. The housekeeping staff were polite and nice to clean our rooms when we asked, though they only change the trash bags and the bedsheets.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carlton Central Apartments. The location and service were excellent. The rooms are very clean and tidy but they are looking a little tired in places. It is still the perfect spot to stay if you’re wanting to indulge yourself at Lygon Street.

Stayed here for a week whilst my son was in The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Was close to hospital, public transport, restaurants and supermarkets. The rooms were comfortable, clean and fitted out with everything I needed. The television does not work as it is not connected to antenna.They did say they would resolve the problem- which they failed to do. Other than that would definitely stay here again.
