We had a wonderful stay at Melangata Station, Ken and Jo were fantastic hosts!|There were 8 of us on our Annual Wildflower trip and we couldn't have chosen a better Station! |Great showers and ablutions, which were very clean, plenty of firewood, lovely rainwater and the tour of the Homestead with Jo followed by her famous scones and coffee is not to be missed!!

Excellent location, facilities typical of a station, great hot showers etc, lots of birds.
The only negatives were the flies ( not too bad) and the prickles around the camping area.

If you want to camp with all the facilities the Shearer’s quarters are a treat. Traditional quarters restored with really well maintained facilities. Showers are a treat.. fresh wonderful hot water. ||We arrived in the late afternoon and was welcomed with the smell of the wood for in the cookhouse. The fire was roaring, warming the social area and ready for cooking on. ||The Cottage accomodation was very good and glamping in the Bell tents is something else. Especially loved the integration of the native plants and log borders throughout the campgrounds. . ||Don’t miss the Station Tour if you love nature and the bush. Lots of unique special places to visit from the large granite outcrops to breakaway country. Breathtaking authentic experiences thanks to passionate hosts Jo and Ken.

The station stay with dinner and breakfast was great. We had a comfortable room and like the very good facilities and dinner was most enjoyable. Jo and Ken were wonderful hosts and Jo has a wealth of information on local history, plants and camp cooking. Thanks for the tips on making damper, Jo! Unfortunately we did not have time for the tour but maybe next time.

Hubby and I stayed at the beautiful Homestead for 3 nights. One could not have wished for better hosts than Ken and Jo (and of course Billy and Jura, the dogs)||We loved everything about our stay, the clean, comfortable accommodation, lovely bathroom and shower with lots of hot water and very comfortable king size bed and fluffy pillows. ||The evening meals were superb. Jo is a fantastic cook and on one night she had a camp oven class at the camp ground so we got to taste her camp oven meal. It was wonderful as were all the sweets she made. ||The tag along tour following Ken around the 128,000 acre property was nothing less than awesome. Ken makes sure everyone is comfortable driving wherever he takes you. We saw sites we couldn’t believe were still on the same property as the scenery had changed so much. ||We went in as guests but left as 'mates'. Thank you Jo and Ken xxx

Great stay, we really enjoyed ourselves. The hosts Jo and Ken were very welcoming and genuine people and were very knowledgeable about the station, clean facilities everything very well kept however the camp caretakers communication skills require improvement as he was at times rude abrupt overbearing and intrusive. Overall however Melangata was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend to others.

Great camping ground hot showers lots of area to camp on your own. Wonderful communal fire area or have your own fire at your camp. Well worth a visit. Also homestead accommodation available. A real outback experience not to be missed. Jo and Ken will make you feel welcome.

Stayed there for 3 nights camping. Tour of homestead and station was fantastic . Had a Devonshire tea and scones . Jo was a good host, so with ken.. A great place to visit. ..love their 2 dogs and their lambs. Kevin & precy with joy and rob
