Arrived here just before midnight. Such a new and clean service station. Food outlets were still open but we didn't buy anything. We were thinking of camping in the far corner overnight as hubby was getting tired - had driven from Fraser Island that morning with a camper trailer. There were several here doing the same but plenty of space for several more. However, we decided to push on. Bathrooms here were in great condition and had someone cleaning them while we were there. Hubby filled tires up with air and we pushed on.

Please go to the KFC there instead. This is the worst Macca's I've ever been to in my entire life. Big call but I stand by it.
Ordering is via the machines to the left of the counter - partly because the counter has no one manning it. There is no paper in any of the machines so you have about 2 seconds to note your order number on the screen.
Was there on the 20th March 2024. After waiting an unusually long length of time for a Macca's (long enough to gain a significant crowd of people), a crew member emerged from the secret hidden kitchen with two coffees and called a number. I saw a couple immediately pick up their two coffees... and the collective crowd all stood a little staighter in anticipation of maybe being the next number to be called... Before that could occur though, the couple soon returned and returned their coffees coz they were cold...
Should have known then to cancel my 6 nuggets happy meal and get a refund... Not only were the nuggets and the chips over-cooked, they were all cold and somehow pasty...? And there was no sauce.
Have you ever had leftover nuggets, chucked them in the fridge and microwaved them the next day? Manna from heaven compared to the nuggets from this Macca's.
Should I have gone back inside to get it fixed? Yes. Did I want to have to wait another 15-20 minutes at a service centre petrol stop after already driving for the better part of 8 hours to get even more terrible service and food? No.
To be fair, maybe there was some catastrophic event or major emotional mishap combined with 80% of their staff calling in sick...

I get they are busy on a Sunday, but ordered an apple pie and a coffee in the drive thru. Paid, got to window, were out of apple pie, did got the coffee. Had to wait ages to get a refund for the pie and the coffee was wrong.

At least the coffee was fixed quick and the girl bringing it out was pleasant. Hence the 2*.

Needs better management.

Gave up trying to pay for my order after waiting 10 minutes at the counter. Staff member in the striped t shirt barked at me and walked off when I asked to pay. They are only concerned with drive through orders. One star for the server that allowed me to pay and apologised for her colleagues attitude. Shocking service otherwise. Avoid
