We stayed in a 2 bedroom Executive Apartment on level 1, Unit 21. This has been renovated and furnished beautifully, with attention to detail. The view over the gardens and palms made us feel extremely relaxed. The garden and pool area is well maintained and perfect for the family, a really nice Queensland vibe.

Mari Court is an older property, but it is well maintained, and the location is fantastic. The staff are absolutely lovely as well. I'd definitely return. Great pool/BBQ area for family. 😊😊

I booked a 2 bedroom executive apartment, upon arrival we noticed a musky smell lingering throughout the unit. We inspected the aircon and noticed the thick dust that was built up on the filters. We also noticed the growth of BLACK MOULD on either side of these filters. This has been reported to health and safety as black mould poses significant harm to health.|The cleanliness of the resort was well below average, I would not even rate it 1 star. We had shards of glass pierce the foot of one of our guests we were holidaying with as they were moving the bed. The bed is on wheels in a carpeted area, it is easy to move. not to mention a pill that resembled an illicit drug was found in the lounge. Simply removing the lounge cushion would have ensured that this was discovered by staff, not a guest on holiday.||The mattresses look like they were found at the local dump, the stains and mould over it without a cover is highly concerning and disgusting. I slept elsewhere as it was disgusting! ||We were also given ONE toilet roll between 3 adult guests. There was no other toilet rolls and when we asked the staff at the front desk, we were told we needed to buy some as only one toilet roll was complimentary. I have emailed the resort privately on our first day, and no reply thus far. I have sent another email and still awaiting. I am wanting a refund/compensation for the terrible stay and the waste of money on a hotel that felt like a run down, crack house.

The tropical gardens and pool were beautifully presented. The staff and cleaners (Sharon) were lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday!! The apartment was older but clean and tidy. Very close to trams and buses. And if you don’t want to walk there is always Ubers.

Used soap left in shower when we arrived.
Broken single bed leg. No curtin in kids room. Pantry full of things that don’t belong. Dish rack completely rusty.

Our apartment had just been listed for rent and we were the 1st guests which was lucky for the resort as there were several teething problems and as I am an accommodation provider myself was perhaps more tolerant.
There was no wifi, (obviously not checked before renting out), and it wasn't provided until the 6th of our 7 days stay although on 3rd day we were provided with a temporary one.
No dishwasher, of which the staff were unaware of. (Some people wouldn't like that!).
No dryer which was difficult with 3 children, even with fine weather with only 1 small clothes horse but I was given another when asked for 1.
Mattress protectors were very tatty, stained, torn and 1 was missing.
However it was a very nice apartment, well stocked kitchen equipment which was brand new. Nicely furnished with nice touches such as nice art work on walls, ornaments etc.
Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Pool was very nice and as slightly heated meant the kids could comfortably stay in for ages. Spa temperature was also perfect and very clean.
Great position, very short walk to beach and also to the nearest light rail station.
All in all a great place to stay.😉

Unfortunately this accommodation has gone downhill very quickly. We have stayed here previously and this time left our accomodation after one night, since we arrived late and couldn’t find a substitute. I have never walked away from accommodation before, but this was well below standard and somewhat dangerous. We arrived to find that we could not lock the door on the balcony or screen door. The property could not be secured and we asked that something could be done regarding this for our safety. Management arrived to lock us in and explained that a locksmith would come tomorrow. I explained that this wasn’t the only issue, with lights not working in the hallway, light switches not working in the ensuite, not enough seats for everyone, no pictures on the wall, a very dodgy ironing board, holes in doors, broken tiles, paint peeling, light switches broken, a double bed instead of the advertised queen bed in the main bedroom, dusty and dirty bedside lights and skirting, leftover decorations from New Years behind and under the TV Unit, sticky tape on the walls, Stains in carpets, curtains out of eyelets, really noisy fans etc. it looked like Schoolies had just happened and we were the next guests - only it was 3 months later! We stayed last year and it was lovely, hence why we rebooked. |Reception explained that they were fully booked for the next few nights and that they would assist in the morning. Unfortunately nothing else in the complex was available and we left with a refund. Events were happening on the Gold Coast when we went, so we ended up booking very expensive accommodation instead. It was then disappointing to then have to pay triple for accommodation (only one other place on the coast we could secure), however we do understand that each unit in the complex at Mari Court Resort is individually owned and this probably needs better inspection after each visit. Accommodations should not be booked out without being at a standard that is appropriate and safe for the customer. We are grateful for management taking care of reimbursement, but it is buyer beware, sadly.

Pros: Perfect location, near the beach, and 1km to the cbd with good parking.
Big garden and nice rooms for the money. Friendly staff. Good amount of gardens and bushes.

Cons: stupid check-in procedure. It could all be done online. There is not much toilet paper or soap.
There are too many doors to swipe and unlock. Beds are almost Asian hard. Tiny rubbish bins with self empty and clean policy.
