We love Mantra at Kingscliff. We get there as much as possible! Every birthday, our engagement anniversary, and our wedding anniversary.|We love that we can whale watch from our balcony or sunbake on the balcony.|The kitchen is great with all we really need. The fridge is the proper size, not one of those tiny ones (thank you for that). There's a washing machine and a dryer which is great. Aircon, yay, thank you so much! The bathroom is complete with all you need although it is aging a tiny bit. Nothing to complain about there. I think if there was anything to whine about, the lounges and cushions are a bit whiffy. Thank you also for having the plantation shutters..... no light blinding me in the morning! All in all, we will keep coming back for as long as we can. We are Accor Members so I suspect that will help us to keep returning! :))

Pros:
Pool facilities were enjoyable, nearby beach was nice for a walk. Bathroom seemed more modern than the other rooms. Reception area is nice and free underground parking.

Cons:
Room smelled very musty, we found two lighters jammed into the washing machine (?) and some rubbish behind the bedside tables. Tables hadn’t been wiped down, with crumbs and fingerprints. Outside loungers were extremely uncomfortable. Fan very noisy - only source of air conditioning for the bedroom was from the living area/kitchen. Outside of sink dirty, giant moth in bathroom. Decor dated.

Overall I wouldn’t return as I didn’t feel fully comfortable in the room.

Wonderful Stay. We really loved the holiday atmosphere, the fantastic pools and the location. Our Pool View room was excellent.|There was no on site dining or room service, which was disappointing. The local restaurants were only a very short stroll, next door, so that made up for this PARTIALLY. They offered a great variety of cuisines, which we enjoyed, but we regularly use in-house dining on our lazy holidays. |We would recommend this Resort.

Great location, staff are polite, great amenities and the building although clean could use some updates there are gutters that broken and some that have plants growing out of it and some of the walls have rust marks on it and could use a paint. The area around the lifts when there is rain around could be mopped more often as the water tends to just sit but they do put out slippery when wet signs
Nice place to stay but for the price it should be great

The pool and surrounds were kept well and had a nice relaxing vibe. The surrounding area is lovely with a great walk along the pathway which leads you into KIngscliff. The restaurants in Salt Village were nice with plenty of options.
Our room (6104) was in need of an upgrade. The room had a terrible smell, (I had to go and buy some air freshener) and because the room is on the bottom level you couldn't leave any doors open for fresh air when you were out. The laminate was coming off the vanity in the bathroom, and kitchen sideboard. The dining chairs were rusty and wobbly. (not that we used them much The looked like they were picked up off a council cleanup, so the room was not up to an acceptable standard for Mantra. We did mention to reception and they were apologetic. We were not offered a different room but received a drink voucher.
In the main areas in the hallways the carpet and rugs were very dirty and in need of a good clean. The lounge chairs near the bar in the lobby had mould of them which is very unhygienic. There is a charge for WIFI, unless you are a member.

I left room in good state and at checkout said all ok… not usual activity

The room smelt like mold and cigarettes. The staff are unhelpful at best. They didn’t have any towels for the pool. They don’t have any room service or cleaning unless you pay extra. No wifi either included… is this 2024 or 1994? 2 star hotel!!

This is probably by far the worst place I have ever stayed at !! On arrival to our room our swipe keys didn't work to access the room so we had to go get new keys cut from reception. Our room was so tiny ,dirty and smelly, the carpets were disgusting, there were tiny cockroaches in the bathroom and the whole room like the resort was just run down and outdated. We paid for an ocean view room , you couldn't even see the ocean at all !! The balcony was so small and only had one chair for the two of us, so after calling reception numerous times and them finally answering we asked for another chair and then had to wait over an hour for it to get here !!
It's just not good enough for the price you have to pay for a Mantra Resort !!
