Great service, had a lady come to our room and make up a cot for our newborn. Whole hotel is clean and I love the look of the reception and the bedroom. Spa bath with jets in room. Big spacious pool on first floor. Only critique is the pool is not heated. Would love to go back and stay again.

7 adults stayed to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. We had a terrace ocean view 2 bedroom suite as well as a hinterland 2 bedroom apartment. We spent most of the time together in the ocean view terrace suite enjoying the amazing view. The suites were very comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms was great. 5 of us ventured into the pool briefly. There are lots of great food options in easy walking distance of the hotel.

It was such a horrible experience. We had to ring downstairs if we wanted a tissue and or a towel, as no daily service. "King sized bed" is two singles pushed together. The pool area was chaos with so many families and children taking up every lounge chair and all the space in the water. Playing ball games in the water with no respect for anyone. There was no reserving chairs but all families took everything and even the two chairs we put our bag and towels. Also a family with 20 adults and kids stoles our two towels so we didn't have anything to dry off with. I get that you can't control people, but there was no respect for other people at this hotel. Like yeh have fun but let others have fun as well. But when you take up your space plus space for others only you get to have fun which was really selfish. It wasn't all families, as some knew how to be respectful. Will have to definitely look for another hotel next time, maybe they need staff to monitor the pool.

We loved staying at the Mantra because the view from the apartment was amazing. The location was perfect. We took a ferry to Palm Beach and enjoyed walking along the beach. We drove to The Entrance and Terrigal. |The hotel was spotless and everything worked well. We did not have time for a spa bath.|A big thank you to the friendly staff.

While the room was big enough, was well appointed with cutlery, crockery, toaster etc. it was very very uncomfortable. We paid nearly $300 per night yet the bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I was in pain when I woke up. The couch was hard and uncomfortable and the balcony chairs were uncomfortable with no lumbar support. It’s disappointing that we paid so much money and were so uncomfortable and sore. The only time I was comfortable was when I was in my car. My husband felt the exact same way. The last morning, we woke up at 5am and decided to pack up then and there and leave. We walked out of the hotel at 5:54am. I did like the location and loved the Diggers club being in the same building. We had tea there two out of three nights. Unfortunately after looking forward to this trip for quite a while, we were glad to get back to our comfortable home. I just don’t see why a decent mattress can’t be provided for an upmarket hotel as the Mantra. Also, in the room we were in (317) there is a shower over the spa bath which in my opinion is a tripping hazard when it’s wet. I can’t stress enough how uncomfortable our stay was. There was literally nowhere to sit or lay that was comfortable. In addition the kettle was very cheap and nasty. When my cup of tea tasted like metal, I smelled the kettle and realised my tea tasted the same as the kettle smelled. Again, why can’t a better kettle be supplied? We felt like we were in a cheap motel, yet the view was beautiful, the decor nice and the location fantastic.

I booked a last-minute stay here through an online booking agency and it was a mess. Thankfully Seru at the front desk helped us out. I loved the customer service she offered and it completely put me at ease. The rooms was clean and we had everything we needed.

We chose Mantra Ettalong beach due to its great location facing the beach. However, swimming pool is one of the facilities that we would have enjoyed. Quite disappointing, if we have known that there was pool maintenance, we would have booked ouside those dates.

Love the place! Room 235. Second time staying at this property. I love it though my recent stay made me uncomfortable because I can hear a humming sound from my bed. The sound is coming from the electrical switchboard I guess. When I closed the wardrobe doors the sound/noise dissipates a little bit. Did not bother to report the issue since i do not stay in the room too long. But just annoying when you are sleeping. Hope you can fix it. I love the hotel and it has an amazing vibe and character that makes me come back whenever i have time. Thank you.
