This review is being written as a neighbour of one of these short term rentals. We are horrified by the continual stream of people coming and going. While most are not too noisy some are and are disturbing the entire quiet normally area that has mainly older retired people living there. We are in a constant state of anxiety worrying about who is coming next. This type of rental should be banned when blocks are small and everything that goes on next door may as well be in your own house and yard.

Scammer Alert!

Made a booking on Airbnb for a property this company hosts.

Once confirmed and paid, they sent me a link to their own website seeking payment of additional fees, outside of Airbnb T&C's and then followed up with emails demanding payment with a threat to cancel the booking if not recieved immediately.

*Post Owner Reply: Charging additional costs post booking confirmation, beyond what is quoted directly by Airbnb, directly contravenes their terms and conditions. As a host of over 40 properties, you should not need to be told that.

I wonder if the owners of the properties which you host know that you are seeking these unwarranted additional payments direct to your company?

Shona has been managing my property for the last 5 years and she is amazing, very helpful and attentive to my property. It is well looked after and I have many happy guests including during/after Covid with extra cleaning regulations. She is also amazing at resourcing furniture in particular good quality second hand furniture in good price and has good contacts with tradies for repair and maintenance. Highly recommended!

So disappointed, I took the time to fly over from QLD to Perth, to meet with Shona to discuss the opportunity of doing a six month revolving stay in Mandurah, My meeting was positive and I walked away thinking I had someone in my court that was happy to help! She recommended a property and we had our heart set on that property I. Mary Street, we knew there was going to be a significant cost, and at our meeting I stressed that cost was not an issue, it was about location to reconnect with family! I returned to QLD, after so many emails I had no response back! I already knew Shona had many bad reviews, but I am also the person that thought if I took the time, being a business owner myself, and meeting face to face, I would have wanted or hoped for a better result!
She has basicallly broken my heart ! And my family, who live in Mandurah are just as disappointed! To the owner of Mary Streeet - my money was good money and if I had a six month option for my property in QLD f would have wanted my agent to present that, and she would of. jumped at the opportunity

Spent Christmas at one of Shona's canal homes it was spotlessly presented , well equip kitchen , linen was outstanding will certainly be staying with Mandurah holiday rentals again.

Not what we paid for!! Mary street was probably once a lovely home but has been sadly mismanaged and not been looked after! We arrived from interstate to a home that hadn’t been cleaned or been ready for our arrival! Booked via Stayz and had I known they wld have put us all in alternative accommodation we wld have left and not gone back! The list of faults and dangers in that house were many! Dirty carpets, dusty, smelly furnishings and unloved garden and outdoor area, are a few of the many disappointments! Hard to contact to resolve or even speak to anyone at the rental business despite their advertising saying they were available! Shona is not a nice person and I wouldn’t recommend dealing with her to anyone!

This woman Shona is horrendous at responding! Im still trying to get my $50 refund from the 4th of January after sending countless emails and texts! Totally unprofessional! Even during booking I had to chase up to see if deposit was received and they just don't reply.
*I can now write I have received my refund. Communication is key so I hope they now realise whatever is going on its important to always at least acknowledge a client has been heard and will be heard. Its a shame because they have fabulous Rental homes in excellent areas with good prices. Maybe 2021 will be a better year for everyone as Im sure many would enjoy lovely holidays close to home.

Elegance in South Yunderup is a beautiful property with a floating jetty , use of kayaks and pool table. We had our family with parents and cousins and it was great, plenty of room. The kitchen is well equip,the beds really comfortable which is important to us and it just suited everyone.Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Mandurah Holiday Rentals
