Do not throw your hard earned money elsewhere. You are getting BANG FOR YOUR BUCK with Malibu! A true #1 trusted family business!

We had no intention of purchasing a caravan at the Lardner Park Caravan and Camping Expo (we were there for accessories to improve our existing van). However we walked away impressed by the quality craftsmanship and personalised approach by Leyla and her team.

The Opulence model stole our hearts and across the course of the weekend we continued to speak with Leyla about the endless possibilities of a custom build. Her willingness to answer our ‘thousand-and-one’ questions, saw us decide to sign with Malibu and build our OWN dream caravan.

We were able to secure a HOT PRICE FOR EVERYTHING WE WANTED AND MORE - WE WERE MIND BLOWN. We paid a small $1,500 deposit and the total was on pick-up. We were fortunate to have sold our van within a week to get started! (but FYI we were able to lock in that price for 9 months! So don’t let that delay your next purchase!)

Over the next two weeks, as we waited for the chassis to arrive, Leyla continued to communicate with us openly about variations that we would be able to make throughout the build.

We went to the showroom and spent a couple of hours going up and down the stairs with flooring, splash back, cabinetry and furniture colour swatches to ensure everything we had envisioned would be made into a reality. Product execution detail at its finest!

THREE WEEKS!
From that point it was three weeks and our van was ready for handover!
We have friends STILL waiting for their dream vans and now their communication has gone SILENT! This is crazy to us. Leyla and Shawn are so attentive. They pull some long hours to ensure YOU get the very best, 100% of the time!

At handover, ALL the staff (right down to the office staff, manufacturers, techs and engineers) were smiling and it made us feel warm and welcomed. We even met the King of Caravans himself, Nayana Wasalathilake. We were offered refreshments while we waited and then had a very detailed handover. We went over it with a fine toothed comb. There were only a couple of changes, and these were fixed on the spot. Including inserting cupboard doors, clothing racks and fans. No problem too great. Shawn was FANTASTIC, he detected a mishap with our battery system. We supplied our own iTech lithium batteries and inverter. Despite it being a long weekend the electrician was able to come and fix this problem for us immediately. We are very grateful for his time as you could tell he and his partner were on their ‘way out’ somewhere and he reassured us it was ‘no problem’. Despite the slight delay, conversation was great & time went by quickly.
We took off on our long drive home - ever so proud of our new ‘home on wheels’. Sadly on our trip we encountered an incident. It left us with a destroyed aircon unit and shattered solar panel. We were heartbroken. Just 3hrs old! We phoned and left a message with Shawn and to our surprise had a very reassuring phone call from business owner, Nayana at 7am. They were willing to travel 2.5hrs to fix our caravan! As it turned out we were able to get it to them in Campbellfield, and viola! They replaced both solars and the aircon completely! They also did this out of the goodness of their hearts! GET OUT! This is unheard of!

The staff are very good at what they do! They pour their hearts and souls into this business and it shows.

We bought a Malibu Razor in 2022 and have done many adventures. It’s modern and practical with loads of great features it had way more features than a lot of other brands but at a very affordable price . We are very happy with our Caravan it’s good looking and tough too !

We have custom built two caravans through Malibu. Still to this day we believe they are the best value for money vans on the market. The team were wonderful to deal with and worked with us to get our van ready for delivery. Like every manufacturer things can be bumpy but stick with the process and be patient as the finished product will be worth it. Thanks guys!

Our experience with Malibu has been nothing short of a nightmare. We purchased a caravan from them with high hopes, only to be met with endless issues and a complete lack of support. Last year the roof started leaking within months. We had the roof repaired by their approved repairer, but unfortunately it was not fixed correctly. Just a patch job with a lot of silicone. This has led to further major issues and we have been in an ongoing dispute since May.

We had no choice but to spend $16,000 out of our own pocket to replace the whole roof.
We are currently living in our van full time and it was unsafe due to the mould that was in the roof cavity. This has caused immense financial strain and stress. The lack of communication and disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling. We will now have to take legal action as my emails have just been ignored.

Save yourself the headache and avoid Malibu Caravans at all costs.

Still Waiting for Reimbursement – Extremely Disappointed

We are beyond frustrated with Malibu Caravans. After discovering major issues with our caravan roof 4 weeks before we were leaving for our trip, we had no choice but to pay $16,000 out of pocket to replace it. Despite multiple follow-ups, they ignore emails for reimbursement.

This experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. A company that prides itself on quality and customer service should stand by their product and honour their warranty commitments. Instead, we’ve been left chasing a refund that should have been handled professionally and promptly.

If you’re considering a Malibu Caravan, be warned: their after-sales support is severely lacking, and communication is non-existent. We regret trusting this company and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who values accountability and integrity.

Matt from Malibu Caravans Queensland (Nambour) is excellent to deal with, his customer service is second to none, with prompt replies and a sound knowledge of the product. We are also in love with our Family Adventure Wildtracker, with a custom fit out and design at no extra cost to change layouts, large spacious windows, large spacious bunks, and at a price tag that rivals the market, it was a no brainer for us.
