My recent experience at This Motel was, without exaggeration, one of the worst lodging experiences I've ever had. From the moment we stepped into the room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. Stains marred the walls and sheets, making for an incredibly unappealing and frankly, unsanitary environment. It's difficult to feel comfortable, let alone get a good night's sleep, when you're questioning the basic hygiene of your surroundings.
However, the abysmal state of the room was unfortunately overshadowed by the truly appalling customer service. The staff I encountered were rude, arrogant, and utterly devoid of care or empathy. The most shocking incident occurred when I accidentally locked myself out of my room. My young daughter, having just gotten out of the pool, was freezing cold with no towel or dry clothes, as everything was in the room. When I explained the urgent situation, I was astonishingly told I would have to wait three hours because the staff were at dinner. To then be informed, after waiting the initial three hours, that I would have to wait "a few more hours" was beyond unacceptable. This level of disregard for a guest's comfort and, more importantly, a child's well-being is simply inexcusable.
In summary, this motel is a perfect storm of neglect: unclean rooms combined with shockingly bad customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere. You deserve a place that values cleanliness and treats its guests with basic respect and courtesy.

The room was all we required for our short visit. A few niggles. Shower water drenched the floor. Internet kept dropping out while watching the tv. Kitchen equipped for our visit Pool and spa was lovely. Spa temperature dis fluctuate nice in the evening tepid in the mornings. Still not too bad a value for cost charged

The apartment was overall quite shabby.

The bathroom could definitely do with a good clean.

It had an option to do laundry with a washer and dryer but the washing machine was so dirty, which made it pointless of having it in the first place.

Overall the apartment could do with a refresh.

Although this is a good location and price point, the cleanliness was appalling. Soft furnishings were grubby and the bathroom floor was very stained and dirty. The mirrors looked like they had been wiped with a wet sponge and left to dry. The dust in the bedroom was considerable. We paid for a renovated unit, I can only imagine what the lesser rooms were like.
We won’t be back.

We have stayed at the Maldives twice now and have been super happy with it every time.
Amazing ocean views, lovely clean rooms, great outdoor swimming pool and spa my son absolutely loved!
Maldives Resort is the perfect location for a holiday at Surfers Paradise.
Highly recommend 10/10

This was an amazing experience! The front desk attendant sherry was very kind, informative and very helpful. The room we stayed in was magnificent, amazing view of the ocean and had all the amenities, laundry, fridge stove. Would definitely come back here! Although there was a big gap between our checkout and our flight the staff was very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage with the reception for a few hours. Overall amazing experience! Would highly recommend!👌🏾👏🏾🙏🏾

I have to be honest... I wasn't expecting much from the Maldives Resort but OMG!!! Talk about being pleasantly surprised!!! The location is fabulous - a block from the beach, and in the other direction, a block from a strip of restaurants, bars and shops. The room was SO GOOD! Spacious and had everything I needed! The only criticism was that whatever they'd cleaned the floors with made them very grimy and slippery. I didn't see anyone at reception at all during my stay, but also didn't need to. All in all, will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location to access all of Main Beach and Tedder Avenue's eateries and bars. The property is a little older but well managed. Nice pool and heated spa section. Some rooms a little small and tired but the sea views and breeze, only partly obstructed by two tall buildings are marvellous.
