Sharon is the manager here and she is a fabulous host. So generous with her stories and the history of the pub (1911) and local attractions. Original or very old furniture and fittings. You won't find this in Brisbane as Joh knocked them all down. These country pubs double as local museums and there is much to take in here. Drop in, grab a beer and wander about. Say hi to Sharon!

True old fashion Country Pub!

It's Téa who makes the place! How awesome is she! Even our fussy little kids who took 20mins to decide actually what they wanted. No trouble at all for Tia, so patient! She knows all the locals, what they are having, and even non-locals like us she remember what we were all drinking. What a star!

The pub it's is big, its huge, actually it's Daryl Eastlake Huuuuuuuuuuuuge! great place to stop & eat. Locals are friendly, beer is cold. The public bar always has a few local characters. But you can eat in the dining room. In there you can see photos King Charles as a young fella touring the area.

The Grub is big and excellent value for money.. Delicious too! $15 lunch parma or rump streak are winners. Burgers are massive.

But make sure you say hi to Téa in the public bar!

This is a great place to have a meal. The hotel is over a hundred years old and the atmosphere is amazing. The woodwork and furniture is original and the food is excellent. The prices are reasonable especially when you take advantage of their specials. Would highly recommend eating here.

We came in today (2 May) at lunch time and the service was disgusting. The girl on duty acted like we were asking too much of her. Her attitude needs improving if she wants to continue in customer service.

Today, we dined at this establishment and found the ambiance to be charming and elegant with its historic charm. However, the service provided by the staff in the dining area was rude and inhospitable. The quality of the meals was underwhelming, as the main dish was bland and inedible, accompanied by a portion of 5 chips. A neighboring table we noted even returned their meals and left unsatisfied. It was disappointing to discover that there was no signage stating that only cash payments were accepted at the bar, and the selection of beers on tap was limited to those from southern regions. Regrettably, we do not intend to revisit this establishment and would not recommend it to others.
