Recently I was in Hospital for over 2 weeks . I cannot fault the attention I received.Everyone was so helpful. The food was great and served by staff with a smile
On the downside after I returned home I was asked by a friend did I see a social worker before I was discharged and I said No . This person told me that I should have been referred to TACP as I was living alone.These people check on those who live alone and of a certain age group.

The staff at Maitland Private are amazing I just recently had an Operation and then a week later I ended up back in there due to a Post Op infection I was very well looked after a big thanks to the nurses on sugarloaf ward and another big thankyou to my amazing gyno Dr Ahmed she’s just been amazing too and looking after me aswell both times I was in hospital. The food was sensational. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned I have had a very positive experience.

So disappointed with care for my 92 yr old mother. No one to feed her, waited for family to shower her, bed wasn’t changed every 3rd day, medications missed I had to bring it up to nurse’s attention & wasn’t given a explanation.

Badly designed building get there 20 mins early so you can find the main entrance once in there ask someone where to go. It’s notorious for inadequate signage. Could not find the elevator on the ground floor used the stairs that only went to the first floor had to ask a busy doctor for directions to 2nd floor

Over past four months we've had various emergencies. On each visit Staff have been excellent, caring, helpful and friendly for people who are ill.
The hospital is VERY short Staffed. But it didn't reflect in the care given to my family.

The Barrington ward was absolutely great! The nursing staff were absolutely beautiful which is hard to come by such a great team these days. The programs that were held by David- the psychologist were exceptional. Activities throughout the day were great! Food was lovely. I highly recommend this hospital!

The Hospital is overdue for a major upgrade
Shabby interior
Not up to the required standard if you are paying top dollar for private health insurance
patients should be able to get a private room on request, I appreciate they may need to wait, but two weeks is unacceptable
Also should have electronic chairs for those that have poor mobility

My mother was recently at maitland private and we were extremely disappointed with the room as it was very old and worn, with what looked like unhygienic carpet. It was a share room which was very small with no view other than a blank wall., and the odour of the other patient was so bad at times, visitors had to leave the room to breathe and recover. Unfortunately my mother was stuck in her room with the smell.
This should not happen in a private setting!
Luckily the staff were friendly
