Awesome experience ! It definitely worths the trip.

After you paid the ferry (around 50$ return for an adult) and the bus (only in cash for the bus and around 5$ for a full day), you can enjoy a magnificent day on the island, a lot of walk, beaches and snorkeling (Florence bay is a great spot)

You can even spot some koalas at the forts (and if you are lucky some kangaroos)

Small tip : take your own food in a Tupperware because everything is overpriced on the island
And if you hesitate to come with your car on the island, avoid the expensive fare (around 250$), if you are in good shape you can do everything with the bus and by walking on the island
