We had a difficult issue when our virgin cruise was cancelled as we had booked flights to Melbourne to attend the cruise. It took 140 days to get the deposit back but still left around $800 out of pocket for flights. We were helped and advised by Vicki W ay Luxury Escapes Cruises and very happy to say that with her help we got 100% refund. Thanks Vicki..

Went with Luxury Escapes after a bad experience last year when I booked a holiday myself. I found that with a 3rd child it makes life hard when trying to book with extra costs that keep arising. That being said I went with these guys. They were super friendly and nothing was a problem. 3rd child not an issue even had it all confirmed in an email with a green tick before payment. Also said I would refer another family to them on the same trip because I thought we were on a winner. Day before the trip I get an email to check in at the resort. I couldn’t do it because we had too many people for the room. So I ring Luxury Escapes to sort it out as it’s in writing in our email. But Noooo not our fault as I agreed to pay. They listened to the call back when I first booked and said it was my fault as ai rang the resort to compare prices which I asked them if they would price match that I would agree. Do not believe what that say to get you over the line as they took 2 families for a ride and we leave tomorrow, so disappointed ?. Been looking forward to a well earned Holiday for 8 months. Oh and also had our room changed a month out from ground floor to the 3rd level 1 month out. (ACL injury with younger children was the reason for the ground floor) but hey got your money now.? save your money go with someone else. Did I say I was disappointed well I bloody am!!

Luxury Escape can offer a good deal at times, but buyer beware. Some of their deals have been rewarding, extras included that would not have been included if you went direct and at a cheaper price. But if something goes wrong, you can run into a lot of problems and waste a lot of time on the phone. Some agents are more than prepared to call you back once you get thru to one, they even arrange a set time to call you back, but do not expect them to keep to that time, because they do not. Then if you happen to be on another call, when they finally do call, or have gone to bed because they called 2 hours later than they said, don't expect a second try. We as customers can understand, they may get caught up on other calls or other things, but at least give us a second call or even a third, especially when they are at fault. Particularly when the salesperson knows you were only waiting for another department of their company to confirm that you will get the refund on the original flights before you purchase new ones. They then expect you to call them again and waste more of your time. If your accommodations specify ocean views, be prepared to look at the ocean thru shrubs or trees because the trees have grown so you can hardly see the sea because of the leaves. Again, not their fault, but again when this is pointed out to them, do they change their add, NO they leave it as is, to deceive the next purchaser. Let's hope you do not have a flight problem if you booked your flights thru them. If you do and the airline changes it around, which to be fair is not their fault, don't expect much help. Ring them if you must but do not be surprised if you are switched between their sales team (for new purchases) and flight support (problems with existing flights), not once or twice be many times as no one wants to listen and just move you on because you have a problem. We just had a flight from Bali to Adelaide changed from Bali to Sydney with a multi hour stop over then Sydney to Adelaide, adding over FIVE hours to our return flight. Granted not Luxury fault. They will finally even help you to get a refund and book new flights, with difficulty. But beware, you have to apply for the refund, with a 2 - 3 months delay on the refund stated by the adviser, but their on-hold message for the flight support team tells you that refunds take up to 6 months, yes SIX months. When you ask the adviser about this, they say that was the old timeline, well why not change the message. Or is it, we will tell them one period, get them to buy new flights and then it's not our problem how long they have to wait, it's the airlines. Now if that is not bad enough, you book the new flights, which they put on hold for 48 hours so the price will not change, and you wait for the invoice so you can pay it. You got quoted just under $2,500.00 but the invoice comes thru as over $2,900.00, why, I do not know. So again, you have to ring them up, you get switched between departments, several times because no one wants to get involved, but if you last long enough on the phone you will finally get someone who will help you. They cannot tell you why the invoice was correct but say the price should be $2,545.00, different again. By this time, you are so frustrated with them and the price on the internet is now higher, you pay it, with no choice. So, Buyer beware, if you purchase something and nothing goes wrong, beautiful, but be prepared for a headache if something goes astray. They are happy to take your money faster than lightning, but do not expect any service, even when you spend tens of thousands of dollars on trips. But please note, it's not much different with any other tourism company.
