Working with Alison is a Type-A DREAM! As a wedding vendor, I get to work with so many talented planners. Alison's organization for our wedding together was on par, and even better, than most wedding days I get to experience. The communication before the wedding blew me away; the execution and detail on the day of was excellent. If you're looking for your gal with a clip board, your problem solver, and your excellent communicator.... well you're in luck. You just found her! On top of her skills as a wedding coordinator, she's so easy to talk too, laugh with, and have a good time with on the wedding day person to person. You definetly want her in your corner keeping things light and happy.

Alison, thank you for being so great to Kelsey and Austin! You made a 12+ hour day as smooth as can be. I loved working with you! I'm so hopeful to get many more wedding days with you!

My husband and I got married back in June (this review is long overdue), and all I can say is, Alison deserves all of the stars!! Hiring Alison was probably the best money we spent on our wedding. I was a little on the fence about hiring a coordinator, since I already consider myself a pretty organized planner and our venue came with an event manager, but if you're on the fence too, just book her! Even as a "day of" coordinator, Alison was soooo helpful with the planning, starting when we booked her almost 8 months out. She provided us with lots of planning tools, attended venue walk-throughs, and once we got closer to the date, she was super hands-on and handled a lot of the last-minute communication with the rest of our vendors. The detailed timeline she made for us, honestly kept me sane in our last month. She even came to our rehearsal and ran through the process with us to make sure we were comfortable with everything! I can honestly say I didn't deal with a single phone call or email on the day of the wedding. I still don't know if there were even any problems to deal with, which is saying something, and I really owe that to Alison!!! If you are considering hiring a day of coordinator, I literally can't recommend Alison enough!

We hired Alison in August of 2021 after realizing we couldn't juggle the 13+ vendors coming into our venue for our wedding. I was a little concerned hiring a planner because our wedding budget was creeping up so much and I thought I could manage myself - but out of all the money spent for our wedding - hiring Alison was hands down the BEST DECISION we have ever made(other than getting married haha).

High level overview of what Alison did for us:
-She contacted EVERY SINGLE vendor of ours for us.
-She communicated with them changes or ideas we had.
-She brought our vision to reality with the vendors.
-She always responded back to my emails/texts within 24hours(more like a couple of hours).
-I decided to buy and bring in my own décor. She handled EVERYTHING. It was a lot of décor and I cried with how beautiful it was and how she made it look. There was a whole room full of boxes with décor she had to sort through and organize, she crushed it!
-She adjusted to our needs/wants for our guests at all times.
-More importantly it felt like she was an extension of myself - it was so comforting to know that she was on the same wavelength as me and had the same visions as me for what I wanted our venue to look like - and communicating with our vendors.
-We got married at the Durham Museum - she was great about every single detail the day of and the coordinating the day of!
-She had timelines all printed and ready to go - she even sent the timelines to all of our vendors so I wasn't getting any calls from them. In fact, I never got A SINGLE call from any of the vendors - what a stress relief as a bride who is being pulled in a million different directions from family and friends the day before and day of!

The only regret we have is NOT BOOKING HER SOONER! When we hired Alison, we had already booked a lot of vendors for the wedding and she had to sort through all of it (it was a mess). I really wish we would have booked her from the start.
Not to mention her prices are so reasonable. She is so cost effective because ladies, as we know, weddings are EXPENSIVE. Alison was worth easily double what she charged us.

I know for a fact we will be hiring Alison for any future events our household has - It doesn't matter if it's small or not, she will be our go to gal for EVERYTHING. SO WORTH IT!.

Words/comments to describe Alison:
-Great communicator! Like I said, she replied within hours for us.
-She means business! She was easily able to wrangle up our wedding crew (hard to do when our family is rowdy!).
-She is very professional - I had so many compliments on how the day turned out and the Vendors LOVED working with her.
-She is on time (actually she is always early :))
-She let's you know every single detail!
-She is also very upbeat and bubbly! Making you feel great 🙂

Please, future brides or people looking for someone to help plan your event - HIRE ALISON! You will not regret it! - Best Planner in Omaha! BEST!

I feel beyond lucky I was able to find Alison - not only do I feel like I want to relive our wedding day over and over again, because it was so special and amazing, but I feel as if I gained a great friend to do life with some more <3 What an amazing person and amazing company. A planner was always on the list as a top priority for us. We searched through so many wedding planners for a more full service planning option, but it wasn’t until chatting with Alison that we felt like we could trust someone completed with our special day! I have so many great things to say about my experience with Lust for Life. Too many to include here, so here’s some of the major ones:
-I (like most others) had never planned a wedding before, so having someone who can tell you (and help with) what needs to be done and when was sooo huge.
-I LOVED not having to continuously talk with every vendor about little changes/updates with things, or technical information about timelines and what not.
-We had many details and plans that were very non-traditional, but were extremely important to what we wanted. Alison made sure it all happened and made sure we felt like our decisions were the best! (Definitely fluffed our feathers and made us feel confident!!)
-I am such an anxious person and that can really hinder communication on my end (so basically I suck at communicating), but Alison was my life saver by checking in, making us lists, recapping things she had done or that needed to be done, making sure I was making decisions on items, and straight up calming me down when I felt like I had no idea what I was doing, etc.
-Having unique family dynamics and a couple very opinionated family members, it was so comforting to have Alison (and her assistant) there the night before and the day of enforcing all of our preferences and plans without me or my fiance having to feel like the bad guys.
-She did all the research for me. Enough said.
-Lastly, I was simply worry free the day of knowing I had Alison there advocating on our behalf and solving problems (the ones you can’t plan for) as they came up. There were emergency issues that came up and were resolved without me even knowing about it until the night was over. How incredible?! #NoStressedBride&GroomHere

HIGHLY highly recommend Alison and Lust for Life Events !! Truly the kindest, most genuine, thoughtful, organized, hilarious, and FUN wedding day-of-coordinator! I was planning my Omaha wedding from Detroit and truly had no idea what I was doing. My mom and I were so overwhelmed prior to hiring Alison, and after our first zoom call I felt 100% better. Alison has a thorough and organized process to ensure no detail goes overlooked, and communicates SO well! She was my go-to for the whole 2 months leading up to the event, and allowed me to genuinely be excited for my big day rather than stressed. I truly had THE most fun wedding weekend from the rehearsal that Alison directed, all the way to the "getting ready day-of", and until our wedding night was over. I can honestly say that I was not stressed for any part of it because I knew I was in good hands with Alison! She truly feels like a good friend at this point, as I will forever be so grateful for her huge role in making our big day so so special!

Alison was phenomenal. We actually hired a DOC from another company and after talking with them decided it was not a great fit. Alison was a great fit. She goes above and beyond, making sure we weren't feeling overwhelmed with anything the week before our wedding, contacted all of our vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page, and was ready and able to handle anything that was thrown her way on our wedding day. We are so thankful we ended up with Alison for our wedding day and honestly do not know how anyone plans and executes a wedding without a professional. Just pick Alison. She is great, fun, flexible, and truly amazing at what she does!
