As a couple we went on the Christmas markets and Balkans tour Dec 2023. We can only comment on this tour. Please be aware that our experience was that Liberty had used a 2nd party bus tour provider which was not clearly outlined.We thought wed booked with Liberty and they had chartered a coach. Instead it was a subcontracting bus company with their own leaders etc. The tour was Bilingual ie Mandarin and English but the tour leaders had only basic English skills at best but were fluent in Mandarin. The hotels were NOT 3 star in the main....think 1 to 2 at best!, and were often a long way from the city or town of stopover. Some had no elevator facilities and no basic in room facilities like kettles. As it was winter a lot of hotel facilities (like laundries and gyms) were closed "for the season". The tour moves very quickly with long bus days meaning late arrivals into centres. We have travelled to some of these cities before and know that a lot of attractions were not even mentioned eg the thermal baths in Budapest. Christmas markets seemed to be a secondary priority despite it being in the tour title! Only 1 city (Prague) did we actually deliberately visit markets! Any other markets were incidental finds. The only thing the tour leaders were proactive in was the collection of their "gratuities/tips". Please be aware these are compulsory NOT a tip. The leaders demanded full payment in cash and came down the bus asking each passenger. Everyone was to hand over 10 euro pp per day regardless of whether that person felt that 10 euro was warranted for the service provided.Please factor this into the cost of the tour! At the end of the tour we expressed our views to a Liberty Tours rep who asked that we email our experiences to them for review which we and other tour members did. To date we have not received any confirmation that these concerns were acknowledged. PLEASE do your research when booking with this company.

Poor Customer serviceI booked and completed a cruise package and once booked they do not want to know about you. I rang a few months before departure as was thinking of cancelling my return flight as wanted to go to the U.S. I was advised by Chris to leave cancelling until after I had completed the first leg of the flight and at the very least I should receive my taxes back for that flight. I cancelled the day after the first leg was completed and about forty days from the return journey, from then on all correspondence about this ,and i did a lot, was ignored. I spoke with the airline who advised that they had issued a refund but I had to obtain that through Liberty tours. No response to my numerous requests for this, not even an explanation. After contacting fair trades i was advised that the company had advised them that the cancellation had to be within 45 days as per their contract. I was totally mislead and totally ignored by them. I could easily have cancelled the flight earlier but was advised by them not to do that obviously because if I had they would have add to issue a refund. Once this company has your money they really do not care so I would advise not booking with them. In retrospectI should have read the contract but thought ringing them they would be honest, my mistake.

We had a wonderful holidays with Liberty Tours in Europe last month. We enjoyed all the many wondeful places with professional tour guides, and everything went well and smooth. Switzerland and Monaco are absolutely stunning and they are our favorite.
Alex and Steve are very helpful..we will book with Liberty Tours next holiday trip.

My friends told me that you have to join the Liberty Tours to Europe, and I finally did. We enjoyed it so much, everything well organised and the team they are so professional. My parents will definitely book another option for next year.

Having great fun with the Europe Tour package. Qatar is great Airlines with complimentary 5* luxury hotel provided in Doha. We definitely book again for next year.

Joined the Spain, Portugal and Greek Islands holiday, love it. Thanks for the arrangement to fly us into Moscow, and by rail to St Petersburg before joining the group in Spain. Next time we need more than 4 weeks of holidays lol ?
