My family and I did not have a good time on our trail ride. The horses seemed completely uninterested or untrained in trail riding. Sue was in a terrible mood with us from the moment we arrived, everything was rushed and we were in no way meeting whatever standards she had in her mind for us.
My MIL's horse got spooked when Sue took off at a full gallop to tend to one of the other horses not behaving and attempting to walk back to his stable. She ended up falling off the horse. We all felt incredibly anxious and stressed the entire ride, which is a shame because the property was absolutely beautiful and it was a great day for a ride.
I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who isn't highly experienced in riding and managing horses.

Had a lovely time here, started with a quick lesson covering the basics of riding then went on a ride around the property. Horses were so cute and friendly and we got to feed them each a couple of carrots after their hard work was done. Sue and the team were so helpful in guiding us less experienced riders around and keeping us safe. Can’t wait until next time!

Just had a very disappointing ride here.
Contacted Sue yesterday about the ride availabilities, making clear we wanted a bush ride since we are here for travels and wanted to see the beautiful surroundings on a horse. We asked for ride options for the coming days, while we are staying in the area. Due to the up coming (possible) bad weather she asked us to come today at 1pm.

My daugther (10y) and I are riders with some years of experience, and informed Sue beforehand that we like to trot and if possible do some canter on the ride.

Sue wanted to check our riding skills first as she had some bad experience with claimed to be experienced riders. This was fine by us, but instead of checking our skills, she let us walk and steer in the arena for 20 minutes. It felt like having a riding lesson and being corrected all the time instead of enjoying a nice relax ride in nature.

After the 20 min. walking, my daugther had to trot on her own while the other horses were standing still. She had a horse she had not been riding on before and after 10meters of trot Sue already decided she was not stable enough so we were not allowed to trot during the ride. (Give a rider a change to connect with the horse, especially a 10years old).

Then finally we went for the bush ride, so we thought!
But no, we only walked along the sides of the grass field of her property while she walked by foot next to us, because she got injured and could not ride anymore. So we were led by 2 backpackers who are helping her out at the Farm. And this walk was not longer the 25 minutes either, so a very unpleasant experience.

When Sue asked at the end if we liked it I expressed my disappointment about not having done a bush ride like I thought I booked. But her only response was that it was because I booked it so last minute.

If she just had informed us about not having an experienced rider to lead us today and that we would only stay around the Farm and ride half the time in the arena or it is not possible to arrange something that short notice, I would not have booked a ride and pay 90 dollars per person.

Sue and Carolyn were absolutely amazing. Sue was so patient with me as I was very anxious. We were a group of 3 adults and 1 child all who which have never ridden a horse. Sue guided me throughout the bush ride and was very accommodating and encouraging. She made sure I didn’t give up and was really kind. Carolyn was great with my godson who is only 6, he had the best time. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks again!
Love, Tess

Sue is AMAZING! Very direct with my kids and in a very good way. They listened and took her instruction well. My 8y.o was riding a beautiful big horse on her own and it was her first time. An experience we will never forget thank you Sue

This place is absolutely beautiful, the farm and scenery was like something out of a fairytale, The horses are looked after immaculately, and the tack shed has everything that could be needed. I hadn’t been riding in a very long time, and my son 11 has never been riding before so naturally he was a bit nervous, with sues direction, warm up routine and firm encouragements had my son relaxed, happy and wanting to go riding again by the end of our ride. For myself I regained my somewhat(self) questioned confidence about riding and throughout the ride my memories and muscle memory started to emerge thanks to sue and her methods.

I can’t thank you enough sue for making our first visit here so special, I will definitely be back again to soak it all in again.
