Our recent stay at The Oystercatcher in Raffertys Resort was deeply disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. The property was not up to standard in cleanliness or maintenance.

- The outdoor areas were dirty, with visible weeds, and bird droppings which diminished our enjoyment of the space.

- Several furnishings, floor mats, and carpets appeared heavily stained and weathered.

- The bedrooms had visible dust, indicating they had not been thoroughly cleaned.

- One of the curtains was visibly damaged, held together with sticky tape that has come loose, causing the curtain rail to drop.

- The front bedroom window lacked any window lock or latch, which we found to be a safety concern especially with our small children in the property.

When we reached out to management, their response lacked urgency, concern and accountability. For the high price point, we expected far better service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend staying here and would advise others to look elsewhere and at a different agency.

We have just returned from Wishstay property in Brightwaters.
Such a delightful home, as soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a large well furnished space with plenty of options for entertainment. A very well thought out two lounge areas conjoined by a wonderful space full of toys for the toddlers to play.

The kitchen was very well equipped and clean with new crockery and cutlery. Every appliance and utensil you could need, down to icemakers and electric frypans, bbq tongs, garbage bags, pots and pans.

The bedrooms were fitted with hotel quality sheets and pillows, all beds luxuriously comfortable with fans above head to keep cool. Beds and bathrooms 10/10 for cleanliness.

The pool and entertaining area were such a hit with kids and adults alike. Well maintained pool with a spa and plenty pool toys for kids.

I noticed a lot of attention to detail which made it feel just like home. It’s cosy but large enough to accomodate 8 people very comfortably.

Amazing views and only a short walk to the water, we had a great time fishing. Kayaks were available to use, but unfortunately we forgot to bring our life jackets.

Overall we had a wonderful stay and could not fault the entire trip. Josh and the team were very attentive and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

We are all looking forward to visiting Wishstay in the near future.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Property

We had an awful experience at Cave Gateway property 71. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was not as advertised. There was no air conditioning or functioning fans, making the place unbearably hot and stuffy during the day. At night, it became extremely cold, but there was no way to warm the property.

To make matters worse, the entire place reeked of a horrible smell, and there was visible mould everywhere. It was so bad that we couldn’t stay for the three nights we had booked. There was bedbugs all over the beds, bathrooms were disgusting couldn’t even be entered because of the smell. We ended up leaving after two nights because the conditions were intolerable.

Our holiday was completely ruined because of this property. It’s unacceptable that such a place is rented out without the basic amenities to ensure comfort. We do not recommend staying here under any circumstances.

We recently stayed at Wallarah Forest Stay in Murrays Beach. It was in a fantastic location and the property itself was just lovely. It had everything we needed and the kids really enjoyed the spa & being able to be outside in the yard.

A wonderful family home and the perfect spot for our annual Winter Beach mini-break! Thanks so much!

Splendor Hideaway is an amazing house 🏠
We just came home after 5 days with my
Children and grandsons aged 13, 9, 5, and 4 - the pool, pool table, air hockey and soccer games kept everyone happy 😃 5 minutes drive to beautiful Caves beach and the Coastal Pub. As it was in a quiet cul de sac the boys would ride their bikes in the afternoon before a swim in the pool and games after dinner. This place is huge with a self contained studio downstairs. I could go in and on about this property - came home and have booked for 2026 - can’t wait 👍whoever owns this wonderful house - a huge thank you!

Amazing beach front location and so close to Sydney. Quiet community, easy parking. Perfect for a weekend trip. Plenty of sleeping space and two comfortable living areas.
Beach cafe is a 2min stroll. Fun Sunday arvo vibes there. Strip of shops 500m up the road is so handy.

This is or 1st stay at Raffertys/ Currawong guest house & it was delightful! Great spaces for two; everything provided; 2 wonderful decks (enjoyed drinks & nibbles in the evening); great bedding & block-out curtains; serene, quiet mornings & no traffic. The easy walk through beautifully kept grounds to the bistro for dinner & also our morning coffees was such a bonus!
We'll come again...

An absolute blast of a weekend in this beautiful home!! Mum & Dad with 5 adult children and it was perfect for us. So clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. What a hidden secret Caves Beach is! We would come back in a heartbeat....
