It's always fun going to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. They had a good amount of snow. But it's always quite full. The lines to borrow snow gear is very long so bring your own if you can or rent in Marysville before heading up to the resort. That way you don't waste too much time falling in line. Other than that the whole family is sure to enjoy.

These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago now. There were two toboggan rides running when we went. The magic carpet ride was fantastic, especially for young kids who don't have the energy to walk up. The snow was rather icy due to the snow machine and not much natural snow, but we still had fun. The cafe was pretty good, although there was not much variety in the menu. If you don't have spare clothes and gloves for when they get wet, you can pay to put them in the dryer, as once you have wet snow gear on kids, it's all over ha ha.

Fun fun day with kids tobogganing down the slopes at Lake Mountain Alpine Resorts. Staff were attentive to kids while on the slopes and the entry pricing to both resort and toboggan rentals are reasonable.

Note that the food on offer is limited, so if you have any special dietary needs, it would be better to pack some food of your own. Prices wise for the non picky eaters are fair.

The shorter drive from Melbourne city makes this visit a MUST especially if you have younger kids. Recommended!

We had a fantastic day at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. We were lucky enough to be on the mountain during a lovely snowfall. The friendly staff and great equipment hire services on site made the experience even better. We spent the day riding the toboggan slopes and having snowball fights, making it a day to remember. The beautiful scenery and fun activities created a perfect winter outing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the snow!

Kids had the best time. A good place for families with kids and a great place to go on your first snow adventure. There's no long queues, plenty of parking, toilets close by and a bistro and cafe for when you get hungry. Bistro has plenty of seating and good variety at a reasonable price. The cafe is pretty much what the name suggests and less seating available. Please note that you must pay for a toboggan pass to use the slopes. It is not included in the entry fee to enter the alpine resort. Book your entry pass before going so your not disappointed at the gate as there is a limit to visitors. The toboggan pass can be bought at the alpine resort on the day. 2 to 3 hours is plenty of time to have fun.

Kids had fun with the toboggan. A bit expensive you need to pay $65 just to enter the resort and then pay to rent the Toboggan and also pay additional pre authorisation on Credit card which is refunded once you return the toboggan.

If you live locally and would like to bring your kids here for the toboggan, that's fine. However, if you have to drive 2+ hours, this resort is NOT worthwhile because there's no snow in other areas and no other activities for adults. You'll be disappointed with this place. It's better to drive an extra hour to Mount Buller, where I can assure you it'll be worth the drive to see the snow.

Great snow experience here today with snow falling the entire day. Kids had so much fun experiencing snowfall, ride with the toboggan and also the walking track
