Absolutely incredible diving - awesome for mega fauna - mantas, sharks; rays and whales!! Also great fish life and coral. Lagoon snorkelling was awesome so many fish. Octopus and turtles. |Guides - boat guides Hannah and jack - amazing such great guides, friendly and safe in their approach. Jack, ash and Kai - awesome dive guides. |Food and drinks - super buffet meals - great selection of food and good quality. Only slight criticism is when busy more staff to clean tables after guests had finished would be recommended. You do have to clear your own plates which is not a burden, but tables in between guests could be cleaned more frequently. |Accomodation was nice - better communication on house keeping could be made at check in - but when we asked everyone provided all we needed.|Overall awesome trip and stay! So much To do.|Great activities and such a variety including all the talks and tours! After 6 days we didn’t have enough time to do all

We had an amazing time as a family on LEI in Aug2025. |I was so impressed that all the LEI staff cared so passionately about the Great Barrier Reef and viewed themselves as stewards and custodians of this amazing natural wonder. They were all hospitable and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. |The flight was great fun. |The accommodation was clean and the food was great. |The snorkelling experience on the reef was exceptional. |I would do recommend staying for a night to really enjoy the benefit of experiencing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, and giving yourself time to process the amazing sights (turtles, manta rays, reef sharks, etc) you will experience. |Thank you again Team LEI.

Our party of 6 were lucky enough to stay for 3 nights in Reef Units that had stunning views over the lagoon. Although the weather was not in our favour (strong winds), there were plenty of tours & educational talks to keep us busy. |The meals were great with heaps of options to choose from. Sunset drinks on the western side of the island is not to be missed. |The snorkelling at LEI is nothing short of amazing. You can choose to snorkel the tidal lagoon for up close viewing with the most chilled turtles you could imagine, amongst lots of other ocean wildlife & stunning corals. There's also snorkelling on the western side of the island which offers an absolute smorgasbord of both small & large wildlife, endless schools of fish and amazing corals. |All the island staff we encountered were super friendly, helpful & ensured our visit was an enjoyable one.

Lady Elliot Island is a must do…. The flight over adds to the charm of this amazing place and we feel so lucky to have experienced it. ||Weather was perfect; we saw whales circling the island before we even arrived from the aeroplane, and to have experienced snorkelling with manta rays, turtles and reef sharks, while seeing the dolphins and humpback whales from the glass bottom boat was incredible. We took our own snorkelling gear, but hired wetsuits and fins - both high quality. ||We were greeted warmly and orientation to the island as day guests was comprehensive. Our lunch was beautiful and the complementary hot drinks were appreciated. ||The facilities for day guests are well thought out and work well in terms of lockers, showers etc. ||We wish we had stayed overnight as there is so much to do on the island. Snorkelling was excellent, but scuba diving is a must next time!!!||The staff at LEI are incredible….. well done team! We are super jealous that you get to work in paradise every day.

Great place, awesome flight and views, unbelievable sea life! Saw so many fish, manta rays, turtles and other sea life!

For people who are non swimmers or poor swimmers like me, lagoon is the place for you. Special thanks to Hannah who took special efforts in finding turtles in the lagoon. I spent almost 20 minutes up close with the turtles which was an awesome experience. The glass bottom boat was good too and snorkeling at the light house was pretty awesome.

Food was great, lots of options. Just one thing, if you wish to use a wet suit, better to carry one from home. They charge you for that. But you can actually snorkel using your swim suit too.

I definitely want to go back.

What a great experience! The Cessna flight from Hervey Bay, the accommodation - basic, but clean and comfortable and straight in front of the lagoon, the excellent buffet food range, enthusiastic and the knowledgeable marine biologist guide all made this such a great stay, and the snorkelling off the beach was superb... so many turtles in the lagoon in front of the accommodation, and then snorkelling with a hump back whale, manta rays, more turtles, and so much healthy coral. Easier and more accessible than Ningaloo and Exmouth (which I also loved) made it a great trip for my 76 year old mother too. The staff were so helpful and accommodating with her, she had a great time. Something for everyone. I highly recommend it.

This little coral cay is a piece of heaven! It exceeded all our expectations in every way. From the scenic flight to the island, (watching whales perform), to the beautiful and clean rooms (we stayed 2 nights in a reef room) to the delicious and diverse food, cocktail selection, amazing snorkelling (with mantarays, whales and turtles as well as tropical fishes) and warm weather, it had everything! We have travelled a lot and this one is one of our best trips, even though it was short. Thanks Lady Elliott Island! What an oasis!

The day tour to Lady Elliott island offered by the resort is nothing but perfect!

We did not stay at the hotel, only took their day tour that includes a return flight from Hervey Bay, a locker, shower, lunch and all you need to do snorkeling including prescription mask. You can do snorkeling by yourself in 3 locations or use the morning and/or afternoon boat and do 45 min snorkeling in amazing locations.

The corals and marine life are amazing there. Our best snorkeling experience to date. We strongly recommend.

The staff was really helpful all day long. The flights were real smooth.
The lunch was ok but not very good, however the desserts were excellent.
The only possible improvement could be to be able to take the morning boat EARLIER as we were scheduled for the 10:30 one so we had to wait 1 hour, a long time but not enough to do any other activities but wait on a bench.

Also good to know that one that takes the DAY TOUR can’t do diving just snorkeling, was not a problem for us but was very frustrating for another couple that wanted to do diving but could not for security reasons.
