Today we went out a night earlier for our 35th wedding anniversary. We decided to try La Costa Restaurant at The Entrance as my wife and I had not had garlic prawns 🦐 in a long time. We certainly weren’t disappointed and for our mains I had the chicken risotto and my wife veal saltimbucco which she noted was delicious. I notice on the sweets board that there was sticky date pudding, well guess what it was excellent the best I have ever had definitely got to have this for sweets.

Disappointing experience, value was not there.
Italian restaurant managed/waited by south-east Asian staff doesn't scream authentic.
Wait was fairly long given there was only 4 tables max at any given time.
Manager lady (I'm guessing) was nice enough but the wait staff was incompetent, polite but useless.
Food was rather average. Calamari rings were nice but not really crunchy (maybe lack a bit of batter), garlic bread was ok.
Margherita pizza was ok too but def not to Italian standard.
Gnocchi pesto was way too oily. Boscaiola was ok, shame we fond a hair in it. Veal Gamberi, meat was nice and tender, the 3 prawns were nice and big. The pepper sauce was barely peppery, too creamy and just too much sauce on the plate.
No table service in this restaurant, for lunch at least. Order and pay at the counter before your meal.
Would not recommend for a nice Italian experience.

Mu gnocchi im pretty sure was a Cole’s bought one with a pesto jar thrown over the top. Gnocchi was hard as a rock and tasteless. I’ve eaten here 3 times and never had a nice meal. Waste of money. Won’t be back for more inauthentic Italian,

A beautiful little restaurant with water views.
Staff are gorgeous, coffee lovely as well.
I enjoyed the garlic prawns and veal and my partner who is vegetarian had more options than the usual salad, thank goodness. We will be back!

Would not recommend this place to anyone unless they are looking for bland, flavourless and not authentic foods. Our carbonara was flavourless, the risotto had too much paper and pine nuts made it taste like cardboard. Meat lovers pizza was only okay because of the bbq sauce, base was clearly store bought. The waitress was polite but not the service we were expecting from an Italian branded restaurant. Even when we advised the waitress of poor quality food, she was not concerned.

We arrived just before close on a busy school holiday night and were seated and waited on expertly. The pastas, salads and Veal were on point with delicious sauces to accompany. The service we received was what we had been missing for days. Thanks and we will return

Moved to the area 3 years ago and have always walked past with the kids when heading down to the entrance for a walk or ice cream,have always said the food smells delicious and we need to try it soon. Tonight we finally booked in and we weren’t disappointed,I had the prawn and chorizo linguine with chilli and my wife had the prawn penne in nepolitana with Parmesan and both dishes were excellent! I nearly ordered another just to take home for lunch the next day,kids had the kids pizza and I stole a piece and I was happy with that also both kids loved them with a milkshake and ice cream to finish. Greek salad was fresh and a good amount of dressing,we will definitely be coming back more often I’ve just found my new favourite Italian restaurant! Thankyou service was friendly and good also!
