From the moment i walked in i felt like i wasnt welcomed there, was greeted by "have you got an appointment? ...take a seat". The whole time i felt like i was intruding and i wanted to leave as soon as i could. I usually go to charlie and kate but la belle was closer and fit my time schedule. I told La belle what i normally asked for at charlie and kate (thinking it would be as quick and easy here). Not only are my ends not blended (some small sections are blended but finding chunks of hair cut straight across at oddly different lengths) but one side of my fringe is shorter than the other. The woman said "lets fix that", i felt so relieved that she noticed that aswell...but instead of fixing it by cutting it evenly she got the hair straightener and curled it.
I didnt say anything because i wanted to leave as soon as i could and whats the point of asking her to fix it when her way of fixing it is just curling the hair.
Id rather cancel my weekend plans and go to charlie and kate in shellharbour (where they welcome you and make sure youre comfortable) than to go back to la belle to fix my hair.
Then comes the price. Online it says $100 for ladys style cut and blow dry for long hair, i didnt want a blow dry and just needed a style cut but there was no option for that so i selected it and said in the salon i didnt want a wash/blow dry. Still came to $100.
The woman blow dried my hair before cutting it, thinking if this is her method and helps her cut the hair easier then thats ok but i didnt expect that to be in the price.

Monica and her team are amazing. I have been going there for years and always walk out feeling pampered, fresh and happy with my hair. Always professional, Monica has been honest and clear about what is possible for my hair, meaning I have better results and better hair condition overall. She was my first choice for bridal hair and makeup, and made my day so special. Absolutely worth the drive from Sydney for her first class skills. You will not find better colourists!

Monica and her team are absolutely wonderful! I've had the pleasure of having Monica and Sarah colour and cut my hair and I always leave feeling satisfied and happy. Monica was an easy choice when selecting a hairstylist for my wedding and she didn't disappoint.
The team are friendly and professional and provide exceptional service. I haven't yet tried the cocktails they have on offer but they look delicious!

Could not recommend this salon enough! Have been going here for years and it has always been an absolute pleasure. The whole place has a great vibe and the girls working there are all so friendly . I have been going to this amazing salon and to the incredible Monica for many years now and there's a reason for that! The salon itself is absolutely stunning, always fully stocked with nothing but the best products and a few cheeky extras, midday cocktail with your hair today anyone?!? Always clean and tidy and always always such a vibe! But Monica is the real reason I will continue coming back, her expertise is unsurpassed there is nothing in my opinion that she cannot do and she always nails the brief the first time! My hair is quite difficult in the fact that it doesn't lighten easily and is a weird texture but I always walk out with million dollar hair, everytime. She is kind, welcoming and always makes you feel comfortable as well as her amazing staff. Do yourself a favour and go and see the amazing team at La Belle Hair and Beauty Spa, you won't regret it! Best salon around by far!!!
I love this salon, the girls always do an amazing job on my colour, no matter who I get to do it. They make me feel like part of their family every time I come in.

I booked for long hair ombre. It was my first time visiting this salon. I was there for more than 5 hours and my treatment still wasn’t complete.
The staff treated their regular customers so well comparing to a new customer like me. All regular customers were attended to quickly. They delayed every step of my treatment from the moment I stepped into the salon, it was so frustrating.
During the consultation, I shared all the concerns I had with my hair and showed the color I wanted. The hairdresser said no problem, we can do the color. After 5 hours, it was not the color and blend I wanted, my hair had orange spots due to bad bleaching and bad toner techniques, when I complained, they downplayed it saying oh because you have done brown dye before you won’t get the color you want, and I told them couldn’t you tell me that before you started? You said you could do it!
I love how they all collectively knew they had messed up my hair color, but were keeping it quiet and hoping I would leave without noticing.
I had to pay $130 as deposit to secure my appointment when I booked which in hindsight if a salon needs that high of deposit, they are dodgy. I refused to pay for the rest of the treatment, had a chat with the manager and just walked out.
The hairdresser doing my hair was so eager to leave my treatment halfway and start with her regular customer even though I had been there for more than 5 hours. During the 5 hours, I was he only customer and even then she was lacking.
Poor communication. They don’t have the courtesy to communicate to you about your own hair.
The manager tried to calm me down, she downplayed it first saying it’s the color I requested or that she wasn’t in the consultation. She offered me to stay or come back to fix it or bring it back to my natural color which I said if I wanted my natural color why did I sit here for 5 hours and paid to put chemicals on my hair?
I can’t go anywhere to fix it because I have work all week and weekend and that was my only day off for a while. I don’t ever want to go back to that salon again where they outright disrespect you and only try to offer a solution when you’re extremely distressed after 5 hours of messing up. The manager was in the salon the whole time, she even saw my hair but at no point tried to fix it up until I was walking out.
If you can’t get a color done, just say no from the beginning or at least test a small patch of the customer’s hair before ruining their hair and their day.
