We had a great day out at Kryal Castle with our 6 year old daughter and another family. We participated in activities for the “magical weekend” it was a hot day… but there was a beautiful breeze up in the stands when watching the main events. Food was good in the cafes. Recommend for a great day out with the family. Don’t be afraid to dress up if there is a theme running 👍🏼

This place was so cool! My family and I loved it! Our kids haven’t stopped talking about it. It really truly was a step back in time. The staff were so friendly and in character, the receptionist was lovely. My daughters did the potion class and that we conducted so amazing!

Accomodation was inadequate. We were in a room with no windows four kids and two adults in one room and they call that a family room. One kid had to sleep on the couch. The door was very drafty with gaps around it. Would be terrible to stay in winter we stayed in autumn but still cold at night. We didn’t get to see what kryal castle has to offer as it was shut due to the rodeo. Rodeo was excellent.
Breakfast next morning was continental which consisted of breakfast cereal, canned fruit salad, yogurt, pastries and toast. There were no seats available in the “hall” for our family to sit so we had to take breakfast back to our room which we had only three seats and a table for six people. Also there was a side lamp in our room that kept flashing on and off through the night so hard to sleep. $400 for the room was not great value. If booking don’t stay in room 16 it is terrible.

We went as a family (three kids, parent and partner, uncle and aunt and grandparents) to a jousting day event at Kryal Castle. We had a wonderful day, especially the kids.

Stayed 2 nights. Staff were very accommodating and communicated well from the start. Continental brekky was good, definitely a place for kids to enjoy but there's enough for the adults as well. Love the castles after hours perks for people staying in the caravan park. Actors/staff of the castle were great and we loved the potions class banter. Great to watch the Knights on horseback, petting stables, I could go on, there's so much to love. We will be back for sure.

I had my wedding here in September 2024 and it was a lovely day. The staff were so kind and helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure our night ran smoothly. A special thank you to Melody, Christian, and the other actors who made the night magical. The buffet meal was amazing and was well received by everyone. They also did all of the pack up and had it ready for us the next morning. It was overall an amazing experience and the team were quick to respond to any questions we had in the lead up to the day.
Many of the wedding guests also stayed at the castle that night and all loved their rooms, reasonably priced and well designed.

Kryal Castle in Victoria is a truly magical experience, and our visit during the special Gruffalo Week made it even more special. From the moment we entered, we were transported into a medieval world filled with adventure, creativity, and fantastic storytelling.

The range of activities kept us entertained throughout the day. We had plenty of time to enjoy everything, from archery and battlefield shows to meeting the horses and taking a magic potion class. The interactive experiences, creative workshops, and immersive storytelling brought the medieval world to life in an exciting way, making it perfect for families with young children.

We decided to stay the night, which turned out to be a great decision—not only for the full experience but also because it was more economical than purchasing just a day pass. The castle closes after 5 PM, and apart from the few families staying overnight, the entire premises become quiet, adding to the magical atmosphere. However, if you’re an early riser, plan ahead, as the on-site cafes only open when day visitors arrive. For dinner, the nearby town (just a 15-minute drive away) is the best option.

Overall, Kryal Castle was an unforgettable experience for our family. The medieval setting, engaging activities, and special themed events made it a trip to remember. My kids absolutely loved it and haven’t stopped talking about their adventure. If you can plan around the meal logistics, it’s an incredible getaway that we highly recommend!

Need around 2.5 half hours to have look around the castle. Great views some interesting things on display. Do axe throwing and archery courses prices $5-10 people doing stunts on horses. Prices $42 for adult family pass $109 up to 4 kids probably a bit expensive I reckon should be in the $25-30 for adult $99-100 for the family package divide by 6 $16.66 each. Drink prices and nibbles were probably 50 cents to maybe $1 dollar dearer than at most servos but much cheaper than sovereign Hill prices.
