We had an absolutely amazing experience today with Kokomo Cruises! The crew was professional, friendly, and made the whole trip feel safe and enjoyable. The boat is comfortable and well-maintained, which made the ride very pleasant.

The highlight of the day was definitely the whales – we got to see them up close in such a breathtaking way. The team also shared interesting facts and showed great respect for the marine life, which made the experience even more special.

I highly recommend Kokomo Cruises to anyone looking for a high-quality whale watching tour on the Gold Coast. Truly unforgettable!

It was my first time going to see the whales, and it was an incredible experience. The captain was so nice and knowledgeable—he explained the whales’ activity and habits really well and quickly pointed them out when they appeared. I loved that the boat was small, so it wasn’t crowded and everyone on board could see the whales clearly when they came up.

The captain was also very respectful to nature, not getting too close or too far—just enough to not scare the whales, unlike the big boats that often rush in. We were so lucky that one whale came right next to the boat naturally! I was really impressed with the service and how the cruise was run.

On the way back, even though it was time to return, the captain spotted another whale and kindly went a little off route so we could see it. That made the whole trip even more special. They even gave out whale colouring books to the kids at the end too, how cute is that?

I’d definitely come back with Kokomo Cruises again. Hopefully, more people will make the right choice and support them instead of the big operators.

Absolutely amazing morning with Nick and the crew on-board. Loved the comments and the trip with music. The boat is brand new, seats are comfy and we can hear everything the captain says. Small-ish boat with heaps of space for everyone to see, not overcrowded boat.
We got to see 2 whales and followed them for about an hour, super close.
Highly recommend Kokomo Cruises 🙂

Absolutely fabulous trip. Highly recommend. Nick was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. We got to see a mother and her calf, a couple males tail slapping and a couple of others. AMAZING 👏 It was also great having a smaller boat with smaller numbers. Much more intermate. Well done guys 👏

Had a great day out yesterday, crew were great and provided so much information. Plenty of space on the boat and it was much smaller and quieter than the other tours around - far nicer imo. Would absolutely recommend. We ended up just staying with two whales and calf rather than venturing further as they were putting on a show. Felt the boat was kept within the rules and respectful to the whales, they chose to come say hello!

Hands down the best whale watching tour in Gold Coast!
Joined on 14/6/2025 with my family. We were super fortunate to see a number of breaching, heat run, tail and flipper slapping.
The cruise is new and comfy. Just 30mins off the coast, we were able to see four humpback having heat run and followed them for a while. Nic decided to search for something else since too many boats are bombarding the whales. Thanks to Nic’s decision, we found a group of more active whales. One suddenly breached right in front of our boat. What a surprise! No one was able to capture it on camera. But the scene is truly unforgettable.
Thanks for leaving those beautiful memories in our hearts.
