Lillian from Knox Travel booked my recent trip to France. When I accidentally missed my flight, she sprang into action!

First of all she calmed me down, then she rebooked my flights. This was not an easy task as I had panicked and rebooked one flight without realising that both flights would be cancelled as I was a no show. I had been charged an exorbitant price, plus it was a public holiday and there was a substantial fee to talk to the airlines.

Lillian was available right throughout the night for me and her communication was excellent.

She dealt with the airlines firmly when they tried to make me buy a whole new ticket and she got what she asked for.

Lillian is a very experienced, highly competent travel agent and knows all the in and outs of travel. Her service is outstanding and I highly recommend her.

Lillian recently completed an entertainment tour for my company which involved VIPs travelling across Australia over 10 days and in 5 major cities. This was no easy task and involved business class flights, 40 pieces of luggage, hotel bookings and ground transport.

Lillian is an amazing person and a pleasure to work with. She was on hand to take calls every step of the way to ensure we were looked after. She has an amazing work ethic and attention to detail and showed both authority on our behalf when dealing with airlines and compassion with my guests.

Recently I was in Italy, half way through enjoying a wonderful holiday with my wife, when we received a phone call from our daughter in Australia. She told us there had been an unexpected death in the family. Of course I wanted to return home as soon as possible to provide as much support as possible.

This required quick, decisive action to make the necessary arrangements for the flight home. To add to the time pressure, my daughter was due to fly to Italy the very next day. However, I began to flounder in the maze of possibilities and decisions. Then I remembered that the return flight (which would have included myself, my daughter and my two grandchildren), had been booked by my daughter through a travel agent - Lillian at Knox Travel. I was hoping the burden of plotting a course through the maze of options and permutations could be shouldered by her, although we had never spoken with each other before.

So I rang Lillian on WhatsApp and:
1. She answered the phone!
2. I had not yet finished explaining the situation when I could hear her tapping away at the keyboard, clarifying what needed to be clarified and thinking of issues in advance. Some of the issues I had not even considered, but she laid them all out and addressed them professionally.
3. In just a couple of hours, my flight was booked and all necessary cancellations and communications with the airline were well and truly taken care of.
4. Lillian showed extraordinary compassion. This was not only expressed in how she spoke with me, but also in the empathy shown towards my daughter. There was still an issue to be resolved concerning my daughter, but she said “I’ll take care of it for now, let’s not bother her at this time.”

I cannot adequately express the relief and gratitude I felt toward Lillian for the way she acknowledged my sadness and just took everything out of my hands. Because of her knowledge and experience with the travel industry, she was able to get me home sooner and with far less stress than I could have managed on my own.

Lillian had provided our family with an unforgettable example of what Customer Service truly means.

When my wife's father died during the height of COVID-19, travel was just about impossible. Lillian was brilliant, from guidance on the process of what Kim would need to do to be able to travel through certain countries on her way to Canada, to being able to make changes on the fly as the situation changed globally.

Then on the day that Kim was supposed to be coming back, the rules changed, hold-ups occurred and she got stuck in LA and had her passport stolen. This meant she missed her Singapore to Australia flight which put her to the back of the queue and meant a 30 day wait.

Lillian was able to work with us to create an itinerary to get Kim back to Canada and then rebook all the connecting flights including the Singapore-Melbourne flight.

Lillian has so much knowledge of the travel industry at her fingertips, and her willingness to be contactable at anytime to help with an emergency, meant that we always felt we had a plan and support.

I contacted Lillian a few weeks ago in relation to trying to exercise a Thai pass now that international travel has resumed but will a lot of obstacles & conditions!
