Should have never of moved or renovated the store layout. Was way better in the Armidale plaza and staff seemed friendlier there too. The checkout in the middle of the store is the worst place in the world to have them! Bugger all staff on check outs these days so you have to use the self service then staff don’t trust you on leaving and check your bags which I’m feels invasive!

I came after checking the closing hours on weekends, it was supposed to be open till 8:00 pm but when I reached around 7pm, store was already closed. So, being a huge store and providing wrong information is very wrong

I bought a bed set last Monday, returned it yesterday (27 May 2024). Was told at the door that they don't usually accept bedding returns but since mine was obviously unopened I could go ahead. I walked about 100 meters to the service counter where - after a five minute wait an elderly female told me it was 'not policy' to accept such returns. I left feeling disgusted. On my way out the attending person at the door told me sorry, she would contact the manager, which she did. She then told me to return to the service counter which the manager had instructed to refund my purchase. Another 100 meter walk. The elderly female was not happy to see me. I said 'The manager has instructed you to refund my purchase. Give me my money!' At which the elderly female became extremely aggressive, saying "Don't you talk like that to me. Show respect." She carried on like that for about three minutes, finally refunding my money.
Yes, I show respect'; demanding it several times becomes a personal matter rather than following any store direction.
If that's how K-Mart treats its customers, I don't think I'll ever go there again.
PS - the reason I mention the distance I had to walk is because I have painful bunions.
PPS - The reason I give K-Mart one star is because I am unable to post this unless I do so.

Very displeased with Kmart's returns/exchange policy: "We cannot return or exchange without an itemised receipt." What happened to accepting any form of proof of purchase?

Says there is stock instore when you look online , only to drive half an hour to find theres none there, should be given a discount or re embursed for fuel wasted , and if you get there before 10am theres no trollies

Not much of a selection in the confectionery department anymore which is disappointing (needed a particular confectionery for a recipe & Kmart used to stock heaps of that kind of stuff) as for other items it looked pretty well stocked

Purchased product and parts were missing. Tried to phone to get replacement. Waited over 30 mins and no answer. Now have to drive 30 mins back to Armidale to sort out. Customer Service They don't have a clue .
