Actually I didn’t want to put a bad review on the internet, but as they do not take my complaint seriously I unfortunately need to.

I would NOT recommend booking a (private) tour with this company. This is what I did and several things went wrong despite the fact that I paid a fair amount of money for this (private Wine & Cheese Tasting Tour through the Hunter Valley).

At the (only) winery we went to, there already was a problem. We were not booked in the system, but after a call with King Of Tours they managed to squeeze us in. Our driver told us that the winery didn't book us in the system correctly. But the lady from the winery who squeezed us in told us that the tour operator booked us in on the wrong date.

Secondly the recommandations they give for a stop are not worth it. I mean, I know that this is kinda personal.. Anyway, one of them turned out to be shut down/kind of inaccessible and the driver could not even park there properly. So also for the driver this is not a good thing.

Then at last, with a tour you expect a driver who tells you something about the area, I also missed this very much.

So this made the whole tour a big disappointment.. especially when I look at how much money I paid for it.

For my complaint they offered me a discount of AUD100 if I book another tour with them. But as I am a foreigner I am never able to use this. Therefore I asked them to refund me this amount instead. Their answer: ‘Unfortunately, as per our company policy, we are unable to provide a direct refund.’ So that means that everyone who is NOT able to book another tour with them and has a complaint will NEVER be able to get a refund!? Kind of a strange company policy, right?
