I beg your pardon, collect me at 0550 in the morning. Well am I glad that they did. Phil and Liz picked me up then added another half dozen bird people to the van and we barrelled out towards Wyndham and a great little hide with a spring close by. Lots of finches and Spinifex Pigeons, a couple of Great Bower Birds to razz everyone else up, and some gorgeous Black Chinned Honeyeaters of the Golden Backed variety.
After that we had a brilliant breakfast laid out in the shade, and everyone enjoyed the experience there.
After breakfast, off to Marlgu Billabong and one of the biggest collections of birds I have ever seen. We had a great time regardless of whether we were birders or bird photographers. A true winner.
We finished the morning with around 60 bird species sighted and most of them photographed.
For anyone interested in birding this is an experience that shouldn't be missed. The next time you plan on visiting Kununurra, book a trip with Liz and Phil. Like me, you won't be sorry you have to get up early.

Did this yesterday. The tour was very well organized and set out. Our hosts Neil and Liz were very knowledgeable about the area and the birdlife. Small group made interaction easy and friendly. Saw lots of different birds. Awesome.
An unexpected highlight was the quality and variety of the breakfast.....exceptional , served in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Excellent Breakfast with Birds tour. Neil and Liz were very pleasant and knowledgeable hosts. Neil did a fab brekkie in the middle of nowhere. A great long morning with over 50 species seen.

Fantastic tour excellent for bird lovers, photographer and those who just want to see some beautiful birds but have no knowledge of birds.Very professional with many added extra like Neils commentary as we travelled to different sites and a toilet at breakfast.Liz and Bushy very knowledgeable.Small groups a plus.
Going early a plus to beat the heat.
Breakfast was amazing.I highly recommend this tour very reasonable price for a great service.
