I have just completed a tour with K’Gari Safari and it was honestly the best 3 days of my life!!! The campsite was perfect, the tour was ran so smoothly, the food was delicious and most importantly I made friends for life!! I recommend this tour to everyone!!

An absolutely fantastic experience!

These are the key points I took away from the tour:

- The night before the tour, we watched the island driving safety videos at Nomads Noosa
- Guests going on the tour stay at Nomads Noosa the nights before & after the tour as it's the pick up & drop off spot, however guests can depart on the tour from Noosa and get dropped off at Rainbow Beach afterwards if they like.
- We stored our luggage at Nomads which was free
- Our tour guide was called JJ. He was very knowledgeable throughout the tour and an excellent tour guide. He was actually from the UK and he was great at telling stories about the history and explaining the geology of the island
- We drove up to the depot in Rainbow Beach in spaceship-style people carriers then switched over to the Toyota Landcruisers at the depot
- All the cars had auto transmission which made them very easy to drive!
- The camp was very luxurious and definitely a step up from other tag along tours. There was 4 beds in each safari tent on wooden bed frames with spring mattresses.
- There was a shower block with hot showers
- The food: sandwiches, wraps and salad for lunch, sweet & sour chicken with rice and rump steak with veggies, potatoes and gravy for dinner
- They had a very strict 9pm curfew each night because the safari camp is next to public camping areas. After 9pm everyone would go down the beach if they wanted to keep drinking
- Everyone who was over the age of 21 and had had their drivers license for 2 years had the opportunity to drive
- The tour is extremely safety-orientated
- There was a mix of ages between 20-33. The average age was probably 24.

All in all it was the most fun way to visit K'gari and I'd highly recommend doing this tour!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a tour of Fraser Island hosted by K’Gari Safari and guided by the incredible Zach, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we set off, Zach's enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the island's history, flora, and fauna were evident. His passion for the natural beauty of Fraser Island was contagious, making the entire journey both educational and exhilarating.

Zach's expertise was apparent as he navigated us through the island's diverse landscapes, from the pristine beaches to the lush rainforests. His storytelling brought the island's rich heritage to life, and his keen eye ensured we didn't miss any of the island's hidden gems. Whether it was spotting unique wildlife or explaining the significance of ancient Aboriginal sites, Zach's insights added immense value to the tour.

One of the highlights was our visit to Lake McKenzie, where Zach's tips on the best spots for swimming and photography made our time there even more special. His attention to detail and genuine care for each tour member's experience were truly commendable.

Zach's friendly and approachable demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for everyone to feel included and engaged. He went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort throughout the tour, providing us with ample opportunities to ask questions and explore at our own pace.

My boyfriend and I embarked on the K’gari Safari Adventure Tour this week, and had the most incredible experience. Along with our guide and overall legend Collin, we were able to see all the highlights of Fraser Island, including the Champagne Pools, Eli Creek and Lake McKenzie, as well as spotting multiple dingos, jellyfish, dolphins, and monitor lizards.

Our campsite was definitely more of a glamping experience (which the tour operator should really highlight on the website!), with covered tents in a fenced off area away from dingos, hot showers, and proper beds which were really comfortable. The meals were delicious, we were even treated to eggs and bacon one morning, and a steak dinner another! We can't thank Collin enough for his expertise, and his overall sense of humor and friendliness. It made all the difference on our trip.

The only thing we'd ask guides to consider in future is just make it clearer that one of the walks to the lake is extremely demanding and very long up over the sand dunes. In the end, my boyfriend and I had to turn around and go back to the beach as I recently recovered from surgery and struggled on the walk. Aside from that, I was able to visit every other lake and enjoy a beautiful swim!

Phenomenal tour group from this company. Competing with all the other companies offering the same service makes a tough challenge for the company, however they have the edge in the tour guide category. Collin absolutely made the trip for us, we were shocked by how knowledgeable, humorous and friendly he was with our group. He is an amazing chef with the excellent bacon and eggs on the first morning while we were all hanging on a thread. He knew all the history and all the secret spots of the island. From what we had heard of the other groups they were all fairly jealous of our tour. The campsite is lovely with great amenities (hot showers, toilets etc) and even a shop if the alcohol runs low, cheers Collin for making the trip an even better experience

We did this trip on Wednesday 31st Oct, it was a stunning hot day and that matched our experience. Greg was our guide, driver, historian and dingo spotter - multi tasking to the max.

We learned a lot about K’gari, it’s rightful owners and the flora and fauna.

We had the best time and Greg did an amazing job. We was lucky enough to see Wongari’s (Dingoes) and see some stunning scenery.

I would recommend this trip, it’s wonderful.
