Kells Beach Resort was beautiful. Clean. Comfortable. Spacious. Private. The restaurant was so good, pruces reasonable. Close to the beach. We had a lovely time. Was easy to visit family and things to do in and around Bundaberg. Thank you to the friendly staff.

Lovely resort that was nice and quiet. Kids had a ball in the heated pool. Meals at the Restaurant were amazing. Highly recommend dining at the Restaurant if you stay here. We really enjoyed our stay. Bargara is a lovely part of the coast and we enjoyed exploring Bundaberg.

Rarely do I leave reviews. I feel I need to as this property is not up to standard. We are staying in eco lodge 39. Wow, first thing that greets you is a broken blind when opening the entry door. Next is the broken floor tiles. Then you walk into the kitchen to see a rusty stove top that looks like it's from 1980. Then there is the moldy shower recess. See photos attached. You will not need to use the cold tap as the the hot tap is just enough. I have had better showers in public toilets. You can then open the heater cupboard to find the rolled up broken blind along with the smoke detector that is supposed to be on the ceiling saving lives. Then both mornings we are woken at 6am by the workers warming their diesel just outside your bedroom, talking loudly. To think you have the pleasure of paying $210 a night to stay here. I find it amazing to read the owners response to other poor reviews about keeping the costs down and encouraging their individual investors to renovate their property and then blaming outside contractors blah blah. The consumer doesn't care or need to know this. They expect to get value for their money. They do not need to be mislead by a grossly inflated property star rating. Luckily we are only staying two nights.

What a great place for a family. |Open spaces for the boys (9&13) to run and play, get their ball stuck in a tree...|The room was easy to cool and tidy. |The restaurant was busy, we had a few issues but the food was great and made up for the discrepancies. The staff were friendly and helpful. |We walked to the beach most afternoons, and had coffee in Bargara each morning so the boys could search for sea life. |Yes the cabin was a little tired but the lift was very cool. The kids got their own space, so did we. ||We look forward to our next visit.

I have only given one other bad review out of quite a few on Google but... Chalet 15 at this resort was absolute rubbish. Insecure doors and windows that would not close properly. Aircon sounded like a truck idling outside the bedroom window the system in the living room gave out no heat at all. Only one blanket down stairs when we came in late and it stunk, had pet hair in it.. Internet is free, because this is none. No sleep at all that night was sooo cold it was warmer outside. The place was $208 a night and is so old and dingy really disappointed ....

First let me start by saying the grounds are beautiful, with possums coming up to the deck each night. That’s where the positive points stop.
Dinner - Veggi Stack was just a layer of capsicum & egg plant.
Gumbo - had no flavour, very watery. One of the most ordinary meals we’ve had.
When I requested fresh towels, was told I had to pay for them as we only stayed 3 nights.
Same as a new dishcloth and tea towel. When you had to wipe possum urine from the outdoor table, you don’t want to use the same one to wash the dishes.
Wine glass had a crack, cut myself on it when washing it.
Their website says cable TV, only if you call the normal TV antenna cable.
Ordinary equipment in the kitchen, even the dishwashing detergent was watered down.
The mould in the bathroom was disgusting.
Shower over half bath, very dangerous getting in and out, plus water all over the bathroom floor, very slippery as the bath mat was tiny, but don’t ask for another one!
No lighting on the path from villa to carpark, lucky we didn’t trip and fall.
We stayed in villa 40 - 2 adults.
We had every intention of staying here every weekend for the next 3 months, as we both work away and our house isn’t ready. But this place won’t be getting us back again.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I'd read some reviews prior to staying here. Thought it would be run down but I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst it wasn't brand new, we found it very spacious, clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. Although the advertising was very clear about the loft I didn't feel comfortable having my daughter sleep up there when I saw it, but staff were helpful and we had her sleep on the sofa bed downstairs instead. The ladder clamp was useful to prevent kids from going upstairs unsupervised. The room has everything you need including a living area and separate bedroom and kitchen. Loved the grounds which were meticulously kept and it was so nice having our daily breakfasts on the verandah. Pool, spa, bbq area, games room and laundry were excellent bonus too. Location was good as it was close to mon repos, Bargara shops and beaches.
