Shout out to our guide Daniel, very professional, attentive and easy going. We had a wonderful night with his presence. Kayaking at sunset in the Yarra river was super fun, but be prepared - waving paddles for like 3 hours was not an easy task! However, the effort felt truly rewarding at the end.

An unexpected highlight we had: the food. It was surprisingly delicious and huge, and enjoying dinner right there on our kayaks while staring up at the night sky was an incredible part of the overall experience.

Had a fantastic time during the sunset kayak tour through the yarra river! The guides, Daniel and Ethan were so patient and knowledgeable. So entertaining and bubbly whilst also effectively guiding us all how to row properly. The dinner was a nice touch as we ate in the kayak itself enjoying a view of the city by night. The actual journey lasts a perfect amount of time, seeing both the sunset and the night. Seeing the city from the middle of the river does not compare to being on the road. Please do this tour, so worth it!

Our tour started in Docklands near Marvel Stadium. We had a quick lesson briefing and off we went.
Under the Bolte and up the Yarra.
Stopped for dinner.
Saw the most
spectacular sunset
Past Crown and the fire show
Melbourne in all your glory of city lights
and ended at the boatsheds
We have a couple of tips :
Outfit: regardless of the weather note that you will get wet from the water splashing from the paddles etc. I wore a lightweight spray jacket and it was PERFECT to keep me from getting wet. I also opted for shorts which I was happy with because then I didnt have wet leggings or pants like others did BUT we had a warmer night. So Potentially consider lightweight water proof type spray pants or shorts.
We both opted to wear a cap for the sun which was also handy keeping our hair dry.
Dinner : order the pizza or the fish and chips. Basically something easy to eat.
Remember you dont get out of the boat. I ordered fish and salad it it isn't the easiest thing to eat in a kayak
general: take a small hand towel or something. My hands were getting wet and cold and my iphone wouldn't open to take photos. And you are gunna want to take photos! I had to keep drying my hands on my tshirt under my jacket

Absolutely amazing experience! Both guides were such fun, knowledgeable and took great care and made sure everyone had the best time! Highly Recommend December a time of year to go with the weather, along with getting to enjoy all the yarra festivities from the views on the river! Christmas light show was amazing! The feed was great half way, and getting to enjoy the crown fire show was amazing 👌🏼 will endeavour to make it our yearly ritual

We had an absolutely fabulous evening paddle last night with Gus and Gammo, and our fellow paddlers. What great value adventure, with 3hrs of cruising from Victoria Harbour, under the Bolte Bridge and up the Yarra River, as the sun set and the city buildings came alive. Great instructors and the dining on our Kayaks was novel, the tour leaders were informative and told us lots of interesting history, you won't regret, just do it !
