National Aviation offers a high-quality and unforgettable experience.

The scenic flight was absolutely breathtaking! We saw so much of the Kalbarri region that we would have never seen if we had stayed on the ground. The pilot was knowledgeable and informative, and we felt very safe the whole time.

The Abrolhos islands were a highlight of our trip. The beaches were pristine, the water was crystal clear, and the snorkeling was fantastic. The coral reefs were so beautiful and we saw so many different marine life, including turtles, whales, and dolphins.

We had the most wonderful day with pilot Daniel. He was a fantastic pilot with a great knowledge of Kalbarri & the history of the Abrolhos Islands. East Wallaby Island is so beautiful. Daniel’s communication was so friendly & personal.

They have a great eco friendly set up there. Our guided walk to see the wallabies & the osprey nests was lovely. We snorkelled out by the reef & had lunch on the beach. We learnt all about the shipwreck Batavia from Daniel. Fascinating!!!

Our flight back included whale spotting & a lap of the Pink Lake and cruising along the cliff faces. Best day ever!!!

Thank you Daniel & Nationwest Aviation.

We flew with our pilot Hayden on the Ultimate Discovery tour. It was easily the best experience of our time in Kalbarri. Amazing scenic flights to the Abrolhos Archipelago and back, beautiful snorkelling and food on East Wallabi Island, but it was our interaction with a female sea lion while snorkelling, and the flight home over the Pink Lake and Kalbarri Inland Gorges that almost brought tears to my eyes. A truly unforgettable experience.

Hayden and Lachlan were great pilots and guides for our scenic flight to the Abrholos in Sep 2023. We took off from Kalbarri at about 1pm, and while flying to the Abrholos saw numerous whales. On East Wallaby Island, we had tea, coffee and a snack box with tasty charcuterie under the shade of recently built huts at the waterfront, while hearing the story of the Batavia. We then went for a snorkel at the reef, where we saw beautiful corals and colourful fish. Snorkeling equipment was provided (fins, mask and snorkel) and there are bathroom facilities to change in. To finish off our time on the island, we went for a walk and spotted several wallabies and saw both an old and current Osprey nest. On our return flight, we flew over other islands including the main crayfisherman huts and we saw the reef scar from the Batavia crash. We flew along the coast towards the end of the flight, and because of the timing of our flight, saw the sun setting over the ocean which was spectacular. We were both surprised that we didn’t get as motion sick as expected, we suffer quite badly, but did take Kwells. The plane is small (we were in a 4-seat plane) but the landings were actually smoother than larger planes. We would 100% recommend this tour.

We travelled to Abrolhos Islands in May 2023. We were the only two on tour. Lachlan was our pilot and guide and was excellent at both. We were given informative commentary during both flights and Lachlan was willing to answer any questions we had. The flight was smooth and the tour was wonderful. We cannot thank Lachlan enough for taking us on such a wonderful tour. I thoroughly recomend this tour and tour company.

A big thank you to Nationwest Aviation - Kalbarri Scenic Flights for a great day on the Abrolhos Island Discovery Tour. Also a big thank you to the pilot Ash who was not only a great aviator but was very friendly, helpful, interesting and knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of Abrolhos islands. Five stars from me.

We were up in the air for 1h45m with Ashley and had a great time. Besides a capable pilot he was also a great tour guide. We’d already done all the lookout points on land from the Gorge and Pink Lake, but to see those landmarks from a Cessna was great too. Added bonus were of course the islands off the coast where the Batavia crew was stranded. Value for money.

I was taking 5 family members (aged 17 to 70s) on a road trip from Perth to Kalbarri and decided to surprise them with an aerial view of the pink lake (Hutt Lagoon).

My family members aren't the adventurous type so I really wasn't sure if they'd run off at the sight of the Cessna. The surprise was revealed as we drove into Kalbarri Airport. To my relief, everybody was excited (or nervous, I couldn't tell). Our pilot Ashley has an easy going manner and humor which helped a great deal to put everyone at ease before the flight. Whereas it had been grey and overcast the previous day, thank heavens we were blessed with perfect flying weather.

As we lifted off the runway into the clear blue skies, Ashley's commentary made us aware of the sights rolling past underneath. Come to think of it, the pilot has to fly, talk to us, and communicate with air traffic. No easy feat but I was seated behind him and could see that he handled it like a pro.

The experience was better than I had imagined. Australia's vast and rugged terrain is best appreciated from above. We followed the meandering Murchison River and spotted kayakers out on their own adventure. Formed over millions of years, the Gorge's jagged formations were a sight to behold.

As we approached the pink lake, the water's surface was shimmering from the sun's rays, it's pink hue looked vibrant under a cloudless deep blue sky. Ashley made a few passes so all of us had a good view and took many photos.

We flew low along the coast on the return leg of the journey, passing some attractions such as island rock, eagle gorge, blue holes beach etc. Ashley said we might spot whales and we did! Three times we saw whales swimming close to the coastal cliffs heading South with their calves.

All credit to the pilot, the flight was smooth as silk so we felt comfortable throughout.

Would I recommend them? Most definitely!
