We have recently been on the Journey to the East Autumn Colours small group tour of Japan. This tour was superb. The attention to detail and organisation that goes into delivering such a wonderful holiday should not be underestimated. We experienced a real taste of Japan, visiting numerous cities and seeing wonderful autumn colours during our 14 day tour. The hotels we stayed in and the numerous breakfasts, lunches and dinners, that were all part of the package, were of a really high standard.

Journey to the East has a wide range of itineraries to suit different preferences. I did the Cherry Blossom comfort tour. The Australian based staff are well organised, experienced and helpful. The places we visited, the accommodation and the meals were excellent. The small groups allow for flexibility. The guides are well informed, speak good English and were fun to be with. This trip was outstanding, and I am happy to recommend the company.

Journey to the East‘s 2019 Autumn Spectacular Tour of Japan was a wonderful trip that exceeded our expectations.

The team’s in-depth knowledge of Japan was second to none, as was their professionalism and attention to detail. All were evident, from the very first phone call with Angus, to the last day of our additional, private tour.

The very small group size, as well as the meals, accommodation, transport arrangements and included activities were all excellent.

At every step of the way, we were met by friendly, knowledgeable and efficient local guides, who flawlessly smoothed our way, so we could relax and enjoy the numerous immersive experiences offered.

Overall, it was one of the best trips we have ever had and, COVID permitting, we plan to return to Japan with Journey to the East in 2022 and 2023.
