This is a great little walk just out of Hawker, Flinders ranges, SA.
A well marked sure footed track up an escarpment, with great views both East and West.
5km dirt road to a car park, then a 250m long by 65 meter rise trek following a portion of the famous Heyson trail.
Two fenced view points on the trail.

Great view. Super windy when we were passing through on Heysen Trail. Great geological feature. We'll worth the effort

Perfect view to see the township of Hawker, the plains and the surrounding mountains. Beyond the hill includes stunning views as well, part of the Heysen Trail. The climb can be a little steep but if taken slowly and gently you'll be alright.

It does require some rock climbing, but not super hard. It took us 10 minutes to walk up. The sunset is amazing. Worth the effort.

Not for the faint of heart! It states at the beginning that its a 260 metre distance to the lookout and 60 of climbing. Well i can certainly say that its about 60 of walking and 200 of climbing. I traversed this in basketball shoes and causal clothes so as long your able bodied then it isn't a huge challenge and there isn't a need for hiking equipment. One thing i would say is that for the reward at the top almost doesn't seem worth the climbing and the signs aren't great. Nevertheless if its your forte, then its a fantastic lookout.

Gorgeous view at the top!!! but the walk is a bit precarious, not suited to the elderly or people unsteady in their feet. Was a bit of a challenge for me, being scared of heights
