We did the factory tour with Andrea, it was interesting to learn about the history of bees and honey production at Kangaroo Island. The tour ends with a honey tasting and a token to try their honey ice cream ~ who knew there was a honey that tastes like blue cheese!

We went there after 3 pm and realised that their tours were closed. But we did some honest shopping and it was so worth while. The Eucalyptus remota is a must try, they give you to taste it!! It was our favourite honey. The price is high for that one, apparently it was made before kangaroo island fire. We ended up purchasing 3 honey bottles !

We had a wonderful tour guided by the very knowledgeable Noah, it was very interesting learning about the life cycle of bees, as well as how the honey is collected from different plant species around the island, to the. Be able to taste them all at the end was a fantastic experience.

I discovered this honey a few months ago at the Royal Adelaide Show. Their Creamed Honey is the most beautiful creamy, smooth, delicate honey I have ever tasted. It is divine on fresh bread and butter, or just by the sneaky teaspoon full!
