I recently did an adventure with them in Yosemite National Park USA. It was an incredible experience with top notch guides and leadership from Inspired Adventures. The camping and food accommodations that were provided and the support that was given leading up to the trip were excellent.

Trekking trip to Nepal

This off the beaten track trip in the Annapurna region of Nepal was nothing short of extraordinary, the local tour company were absolutely fantastic and I feel like I have made lifelong friends of both the other walkers, and our trekking team. It was so good not to do the more crowded and popular Poon Hill walk, we saw only one other walking party on the trail, that consisted of 4 people. Everyone else we saw were locals.

In particular I want to do a couple of shout outs to the team who supported us to complete the trek.
First our assistant guide:
Pranil gurung - better known as Beezay, I lost count of the times he caught me before I slipped on a rock, or noticed my laces had come undone, or pointed out a small fungi for me to photograph (yes I’m a bit odd, but BZay realised I liked the small things and was quick to point them out as I puffed up the mountainside!)

He went above and beyond for on of our party when she rolled her ankle, giving up his own ankle brace (that he was using to help him recover from a twist a couple of months ago).

Not only did he care for us, he kept the energy up when we were flagging, always ready to crack a joke or get us going with an enthusiastic ‘Jum Jum’. His musical and dancing talents also kept us well entertained on rest breaks.

Our porters also went above and beyond.

For Ganesh A and Pratibha this was their first tour as porters on their university break and they acquitted themselves so well. It was the first time they’d done the trail too, and yet they constantly looked happy and fresh - even though it must have been tough lugging our 15kgs of luggage with them.

Ganesh B was incredible- super experienced and a great mentor to the others. When there was a landslide, he waited for us all, took our backpacks so we could cross safely and walked BACKWARDS down the landslide so he could keep hold of each of us and stop us losing our footing and bringing down an avalanche. He did all this with a quiet grace and professionalism that spoke volumes about his years as a porter.

Finally, Supnam, our fearless tour leader. What an absolutely extraordinary young woman. For many of the local people we met along the way, she is the first female guide they’d seen. Her authenticity, love of her country and its history and people lights up everyone around. She balanced both the logistics and the ability to have fun, making what I’m sure were 100s of small alterations along the way to accommodate the wants and needs of our group. When I mentioned I wanted to try an apple famous from a particular region, she stopped the bus at the market so I could get one. When she saw the joy the suspension bridges gave me in the trek, she got the driver to do a special stop on the homeward run so we could walk on the largest one in the area. Even though paragliding wasn’t part of the trip, she arranged it so I could go because Pokhara is in the top 10 spots to paraglide in the world and I really wanted to do it- and that’s just me- she provided the same level of individualised service to each of us on the tour. She arranged everything seamlessly and with a sense of ease and joy. And she taught us how to dance Nepali style!

One of the moments that will stay with me forever was coming out of the jungle nearly 3000 metres up after a very hard climb, into a meadow of spring flowers and having Sapnam burst into a Nepali song praising nature as we gazed down the cliff on one side and across the meadow on the other. Haunting. Beautiful. Goosebump inducing.

I’m leaving Nepal with a soul so much richer for the experience , thanks Inspired Adventures for making this happen.

Lucy Turney was incredibly encouraging during the fundraising phase and fabulous on the Southern Alps, New Zealand trek. She was welcoming, and kept us inspired, motivated, in fits of laughter, informed, supported, and connected. Everything was so well planned and run on the trek. We had lots of professional fundraising resources available to us, too which was really useful. A fantastic experience shared with a lovely group and a shared goal. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen and for all the wonderful memories that were made.

Hi team at Inspired Adventures, I have just completed the most rewarding, satisfying and best experience of my life with you guys doing the Twin Peaks Scenic Rim Challenge.
Everything thing was perfect from the moment Lucy contacted usand provided us woth everything we needed to when our fantastic guides kurtis and Gerard picked us up from our accommodation we couldn't of wanted anymore, they couldn't do enough for us , it was so professionally run and they fantastic advertisements for your company. Accommodation was very good but the real unexpected highlights was the food that was provided for us by first a Cafe on route to our first hike tour our unbelievable meals at Boonah Motel and also lunches provided from there as well as our meal at the Pub which was organised due to a wedding being at our motel, absolutely spot on and our guides were happy to take us early to experience the AFL Grand final. Everything was above expectations from the beautiful hikes, food, accommodation, organisation and #1 guides, thankyou so much for providing this experience I will thoroughly recommend and do another Trek with you guy's in a heart beat. Inspired Adventures provided a wonderful experience for us in Yosemite. It was great that they partnered with CWS for the fundraising aspect, and they arranged for truly wonderful guides from Wildland Trekking. The hiking was challenging and spectacular - it couldn't have been done better.

We did a fundraiser for Bowel Cancer Australia which tooks us through Nepal - Annapurna community hike.

This was a fantastic experience and made it even better by the team on the ground.

Big shout out to our friendly porters Pratibha, Ganesh A and Ganesh B. They were super friendly, caring and was always so every helpful.

To the assistant guide - Beezay as well called him but also known as Pranil Gurung, abosulte legend. He took care of the group and co-led along with Sapnam. We had a little food poisening and both Sapnam and Beezay took total care along the way from organising the small things like garlic soup to help recovery but also with packs and moral support.

Sapnam who was our main tour guide was beyong her years in maturity. She led the group well with great conversation, care and attention to detail. She picked up things with the group and curated certain things along the tour which gave a local feel.

Both Beezay and Sapnam did a wonderful job and really brought to life the real Nepal and at all times making sure everything was smooth along the way whilst navigating anything unexpected that will come our way.
