We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was very informative and well run. It's amazing that Blue scope steel allows the public to see the plant operations especially the blast furnace. Would be good if other large industries could run tours too.

The tour of the Port Kembla Steelworks is one of the best mornings you can have on the east coast. Lisa and the team were highly informative and entertaining. Even though I was disappointed to learn the hot strip mill was out of commission on the morning, a bonus whip round the docks made for a formidable replacement. Since the tour I have been astounded to see Port Kembla steel in all kinds of places you wouldn’t expect (e.g Melbourne Zoo).

Would highly recommend to young and old.

I recently went on the Clean Energy Tour, during science week, it was very information on the initiatives being undertake in the Port Kembla industrial area, a highlight was a visit to Green Gravity to hear about the work they are doing it utilise old mine shafts to create electricity.

We recently had the pleasure of joining the Inside Industry Steelworks Tour.
DBC has worked at the Steelworks for over 25 years but this was a great opportunity for our non technical personnel to visit and gain understadning about the Steel Manufacturing process and experience the plant first hand. Thank you they found the tour fascinating.
