India Unbound helped organise a memorable holiday that exceeded our expectations and has well and truly made us fall in love with India. Lincoln and Kanwal were able to tailor a perfect holiday to suit our likes, wishes and budget. The planning stage was handled professionally and efficiently. We knew some locations we wanted to visit but they took the time to understand our interests which allowed them to plan a full itinerary to meet our needs. They always answered all our questions promptly and provided suggestions to ensure we have an unforgettable experience. We visited 9 locations over a 4-week period, each location was enjoyable with so much to do, see, experience, and learn. We also felt the locations were very different to each other which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whilst we got to see so much, we also felt we had a good amount of leisure time in each location, so we never felt tired or rushed. Our motels all met our expectation and the local guides in each city were friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. The fact that each guide was local to the area we were visiting in our opinion added to our holiday. Each had a deep knowledge of the area and attractions we visited. We also had a driver and vehicle for the large majority of our holiday, the driver was friendly and always on time and the car was spacious and comfortable. We always felt very safe in the car, traffic is chaotic, but not once did we feel worried or concerned. We feel like our holiday was planned perfectly and the best part is we didn’t need to worry about all the planning and logistics as this was all taken care of, this made for a stress-free and relaxing holiday. Planning a trip to India for us felt daunting as there are so many options and details to consider but India Unbound made it easy, and the entire holiday was superb. We would highly recommend their service & we hope to return to India one day and when we do, we will definitely use them again.

I traveled to Sikkim and West Bengal in late October/ early November 2023 on a two week walking trip. This was the first time I had been on a small group tour organised by India Unbound. From start to finish, everything was well planned and executed. The accommodation was all first-rate and ranged from home stays, colonial hotels, planters houses to tea plantations. The walking was challenging enough for those with reasonable fitness, but there were always more relaxing options available.

Throughout the trip we were accompanied by expert guides/tour leaders who were able to provide local context and ensure everyone was looked after. The local food was consistently excellent and varied. Additionally, we had a group of drivers, skilled in the local road conditions and consequently I always felt safe and comfortable on the winding and steep roads.

I enjoyed this trip so much that I plan to book another walking tour with India Unbound next year.

The above was my fourth trip organised by India Unbound. My previous trips were between 2007 and 2013 and were focused on South India and North Central India. These were independent trips either solo or with my partner. The logistics, including drivers, trains, guides and hotels were all organised by Lincoln and his team and were customised to our specific interests and requirements.

Each time everything ran smoothly and provided us with a memorable trip, and it is a testament to that deep experience of Indian travel and ability to organise effectively that has meant that we have been repeat customers.
