This is our second visit in just a couple of months, and the pizzas continue to be a favourite - something we HAVE to order every time.

We started with calamari fritti served with red wine dipping sauce (a must-have for us) and tried the arancini for the first time—it was delicious. For mains the three of us shared three pizzas: the prosciutto e rucola (my personal favorite), pancetta, prawn, olive, and basil AND Italian sausage, potato, and rosemary. All three were fantasti.

It was their first day back from their Christmas break, and even though the restaurant was packed and a little short-staffed, the service was efficient and polite. The food quality and consistency were just as amazing as we remembered.

Amazing food, the bone marrow crusted veal and smoked potato angolotti with lamb rage were divine! Great service, our waitress was so lovely, even when they were out of dishes or cocktails she was super friendly and jovial! After a big new years they were able to accommodate me for my birthday with attention to detail and we left full, happy, and wanting to go back! We had a pleasant experience at this Italian restaurant. The pizza was quite good, and the service was attentive. While it wasn't the cheapest, the portion sizes were reasonable. I would have liked a few more prawns on my prawn pizza. My wife's prosciutto and arugula dish was also very enjoyable. Overall, a solid choice for Italian cuisine!

Rocked up only half an hour before they closed but the workers insisted we stay for a meal. We felt so bad making the workers wait for us to finish eating but they were so accommodating! The pizza and pastas were AMAZING. The drinks were good too. Would definitely come back here.

Update: came back for lunch and split a bunch of appetisers with my friend. I wasn’t a huge fan of their focaccia but everything else was really good. We had wagyu bresaola, burrata with prosciutto, swordfish carpaccio and the house cooked duck breast. Would get everything again without the focaccia.

I’ve been coming here for years, but I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the pizza. It no longer feels authentic—the base is too hard and resembles something from a fast-food chain. I really hope they improve the dough and use genuine, high-quality cheese instead of mass-produced alternatives. The staff were great and the ambience is superb.

Indulged in the exquisite lamb backstrap at II Lago recently, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. Cooked to perfection, each bite was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The chef's mastery of cooking lamb shines through in every mouthwatering bite. Paired with impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere, dining here is a truly unforgettable experience for any lamb enthusiast.

We celebrated my father in laws 90th birthday yesterday with 14 guests. We have previously been here numerous times. All the guest commented how lovely their lunch was and how friendly and attentive the staff are. Thank you for making a special occasion more memorable

Our party of three were most impressed with the attention to detail in the food. Each dish was a picture on a plate, and delicious as well. Pizzas by Matt were authentic Italian style. Waiters were most attentive with just the right degree of friendliness. The outlook to the lake was magical. Thanks such to all the management, chefs and front of house staff for such a pleasurable evening.
