The hotel is really well located.
However, the bedroom was not really clean and old. The hotel is currently being refurbished so I believe it will be better soon. However, if I knew there were construction work occururing at the moment I would not have chosen this hotel: the construction work started at 5:30am the first morning (drills, hammer etc).

Front desk staff very polite and helpful. Hotel well located and recently renovated rooms. However housekeeping is not doing a great job. The rooms were not kept clean ( bathroom dirty, dust on the furniture and mirrors, carpet not vacuum, bed linen not changed, soap dispenser not filled). We stayed for 14 nights and had to call housekeeping several times to get things done. This is a shame as the recently renovated rooms will be tired very soon.

Surprised to see there are no toiletries.

There was no mineral water provided either. Other ibis hotels did provide mineral water in room.

Part of the hotel was under renovation which wasn't even told to guests. Lifts were severely impacted for guests limited to only 1 lift out of 3 lifts.

Prior to arriving, informed Ibis Perth staff of my request to extend my check-out till 3pm. I was told my request was accepted and would be charged accordingly. However to my shock, was told on the day of check-in
that my request was rejected. Even after showing the staff in charge of my email confirmation and acceptance of my request.

Never expected Ibis to be in such standard.
Truly shocked!

The housekeeping staff were very good and room was clean. The duty manager and desk staff were very helpful in giving information and calling taxi's when needed.|The breakfasts were vast and always well laid out. Plenty of choice. hot meals were always hot. Staff at entrance to dining area always pleasant and kept tables cleared and clean. |The hotel was in a good position in Perth. It was close to the underground station, a Coles, two banks, A great bakery, both Murray and Hay street Malls and several other outlets for eating. I stayed 12 nights

I recently stayed at the IBIS Perth for one night, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The room was small and outdated, with several glaring issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The shower's grouting was molded, and water leaked all over the bathroom floor, creating a safety hazard. The linen had several yellow stains, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the TV was tiny—about the size of a tablet—and there was no bottled water provided in the room.

To make matters worse, I discovered an empty wine bottle, two empty cans, and takeout containers left in one of the drawers by previous guests, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. The noise from the nearby pubs kept me up at night, with drunk patrons making it impossible to get a good night's rest.

The staff service was adequate, and most of them were friendly, but I encountered an issue with my breakfast booking. Despite paying for breakfast in advance, I was informed in the morning that I wasn’t on the list, and I had to show my booking confirmation email to resolve the issue. Sadly, the breakfast itself was mediocre and not worth the hassle.

Overall, I would not recommend staying at the IBIS Perth. The combination of outdated and dirty facilities, coupled with a lackluster breakfast and disruptive noise levels, made for a very disappointing stay.

Sink blocked, lights dim, shower leaking, bad mould and stains in bathroom, strong odor through out, ripped curtain, soiled and stained walls and carpets, the bedding is just a dirty stained quilt in between sheets, construction noise ongoing for months from 7.10am, luggage storage room door not even locked properly, loud alarm like and machinery noises constantly even with aircon turned off, the hallways are no different dark dirty and soiled.
I don't blame the staff, this place should of been better well maintained and updated a long time ago.

On the day that I checked in and first entered the room, there was two used and discarded nicotine patches left sodden in the floor of the shower indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned. I was staying for a 17 day business trip that had been pre-paid. On day 4 of the trip these developing issues were raised with reception and there appeared to be no efforts to improve but rather directed to a general Accor email address. The bed was too small and my feet overhang when I slept diagonally and I am an average height person. The used drinking glasses were only changed three times in the entire visit and each time I had to request it. The sheets were not changed regularly and the bed making often involved pulling up the top cover whilst leaving the bottom sheet screwed up and bare mattress exposed underneath. Twice the soap ran out in the dispenser and needed to be asked to be replaced such that is was not being monitored during regular housekeeping. The building was under renovations and would have drilling immediately below the room outside of the preset hours that requests would need to be made to stop the work. The rooms were not quiet and water plumbing, peoples conversations, and television programs could be regularly and easily heard in the room and not easily avoided. One morning it was brought the the reception staff attention that there was running blood stains on the main exit door button to the street, it remained there all day until it was again brought to the attention of the reception staff again that evening before being cleaned. At one stage I asked for instructions on how to play bluetooth music through the TV and was given a range of dismissive answers that did not correlate including it was not an available option, to it needed the other certain reception person to come to the room to do it but they were not present and I would need to wait an unclear amount of time and that there was no instructions written anywhere for me to refer to myself. After several frustrating self attempts I was finally able to work it out myself but it was without any help or care of the hotel staff .and so it was untrue that I was told that it was not a possible option My work team of two other people that was also staying for the same period each had similar experiences. We are returning to Perth for another 3 week work trip next month and plan to stay somewhere else and not ever return to Ibis.

During our stay at the newly renovated Ibis hotel, we encountered several issues that made the experience disappointing. Firstly, the shower leaked excessively, flooding the entire bathroom, even after a quick shower. This left towels soaked, and since they were often taken without being replaced, we had to make multiple calls just to get fresh ones.

The air conditioning was another letdown. While we expected to be able to control the temperature in our room, this wasn’t the case. There was no remote or controls, leaving us stuck with the same temperature as the rest of the hotel, which was too hot and incredibly noisy. It became so uncomfortable that we ended up turning it off altogether. To make matters worse, the window couldn’t be opened, depriving us of fresh air at night.

There was also no drinkable water provided in the room, and we had to go down to the lobby to get water, which was inconvenient, especially for a 14-night stay. Upon arrival, we were expecting a room with a fridge, as advertised, but there wasn’t one. The bed itself was comfortable, but the linens were itchy and uncomfortable, almost as if there were bedbugs.

The walls were extremely thin, and we could hear our neighbors using the bathroom, walking around, and talking, which made for several sleepless nights. Adding to the discomfort, the ongoing renovations in the hotel were disruptive, and it would have been appreciated if we had been informed more clearly about this during booking, or even offered some compensation for the inconvenience.

The breakfast options were limited and repetitive, and a little variety would have gone a long way. The location near the train station was convenient, and the staff were adequate at check-in, but these minor positives didn’t outweigh the negatives. Additionally, the noise from construction starting as early as 7 a.m. and cleaners arriving at 8 a.m. only added to the disturbance.

Overall, despite the cheaper price, I wouldn’t recommend staying at Ibis. The discomfort and inconvenience simply weren’t worth it. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously and makes improvements for future guests.
