We visited this Hugh Hamilton when we visited friends in Adelaide. Beautiful property with nice view. The history was great to learn The cellar door was originally the water tank & the office is underneath the cellar door. To learn the history from generations to generations and the black sheep were amazing! Kath was knowledgeable and provided wonderful service. We didn’t have the booking on the same day and Kath accommodates us to have to the table same day & straight after the phone call on a very busy day . The wines were fantastic! I loved the Ga- Lor -IA , the Shearer cut and Saperabi. My favorite is Saperavi. This the first time I tried and loved it. Our Adelaide friends joined the Black sheep Members. We definitely will come back when we have a chance to visit McClaren Vale.

An absolutely fantastic cellar door surrounded by panoramic views of hills and vineyards!

As soon as I picked up my friends from Adelaide Airport, I headed straight here.I wanted them to experience one of the most special wineries in McLaren Vale.
We enjoyed some truly delicious wines, and learning about their concept and history was fascinating.
The cellar door itself, which was once a water tank, is full of creative charm, from the imaginative wine names to the gorgeous self-portrait painted by Hugh Hamilton himself.
It was an unforgettable experience showcasing incredible creativity and aesthetic beauty. Highly recommended!

There is so much to love about this place but let me start by saying we were blown away with the extraordinary service received by Kath. She made the experience amazing and thought us a lot about the wine, the history and area. I will be definitely recommending this place to all in my network.

Aside from that really enjoyed the wine tasting, every one of the drinks were really good and love the wine names. Would also recommend getting the food platter on the side. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

P.s all the staff seemed great so I am sure you will be in good hands but definitely see Kath if you get a chance

Hugh Hamilton is an amazing winery. The 360 degree panoramic views with the floor to ceiling windows are magical. The staff are very kind, knowledgeable and attentive.

The quality of the wine is delicious and we felt well taken care of. Can’t wait to visit again ❤️

Absolutely loved our visit to Hugh Hamilton Wines. The views are stunning and the wines speak for themselves.

Even though it was super busy, the team handled it like pros – friendly, efficient, and on top of everything. Big shoutout to Sabine who took us through a brilliant tasting – she was meticulous and made the whole experience feel really special.

Officially my favourite winery in Australia!!! This is where history, quality produce, passion, and service gets masterfully blended together for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Thanks to Alex for a splendid experience!!! Certainly a gem and asset to the winery! One of, if not the best storytelling we’ve experienced in any hospitality setting - definitely did the grapes justice… we ended up becoming a black sheep club member because of her (and of course outstanding wine and grape quality to back it up🥂)

Can’t wait to recieve our first batch and many more batches to come. Highly recommend this winery to all levels of wine lovers… be it amateurs, wine enthusiast and lovers like us, or even sommeliers, this place will not let you down 🙂
