I’m dealing with a dispute through NCAT at the moment as my bathroom renovation was not done to standards. The bathroom company has had to get an “expert report” completed and has gone through HIA.
The photos attached is considered completed to standards by a HIA expert. Even though none of this work is completed correctly to manufactures instructions. Wouldn’t trust anything they say. Would not recommend this company. Attached is the questionable work that HIA thinks is acceptable.

Several years ago a letter was written to HIA with regards to dangerous and substandard homes being given to new owners by Sterling Homes, one such home where the wiring was left to smolder in the fuse box inside the wall due to not being tightened and clamped, where the main wall was severely bent, where shocks were given off from Earth leakage and where holes were punched in the wall so that cables could be fed through them and this was left as is by Sterling Homes on the "completion" of the build when handed to the new owners, there was no response to the letter from the HIA at all, it was ignored. Will never be dealing with Sterling Homes nor HIA again.

Terrible service. They don't care about their customers. Had the displeasure of dealing with them for my Home Warranty. Spoke to Judy and she does not care.
