I had an absolutely gorgeous two nights at Hotel Vera. The staff were just lovely and super helpful. I’ve stayed in some beautiful hotels around the world and my room at Hotel Vera was up there with one of the best! It was stunningly furnished, natural light poured into both the very large bathroom and the large bedroom and the lighting for evening was super functional. The bathroom was sublime with beautiful products and so many unique touches throughout the entire experience. Breakfast was absolutely delicious in the gorgeous restaurant downstairs - perfect portion size and your own choice of many pastries to round it off. Without doubt the best hotel in the Ballarat region and will definitely be making excuses to pop back again for another stay.

We just experienced a two night stay at Hotel Vera and loved every moment. The owners David and Martin were very welcoming and warmly greeted us upon arrival. It felt like being invited into someone's home rather than the usual hotel check in. We stayed in Vera's 'blue room' called the Sandon - and loved the attention to detail given to every aesthetic touch. The blue walls gave the room a beautiful tranquillity and it was thoughtfully adorned with paintings and sculpture. We loved the Victorian era high ceilings and the king sized bed was so comfortable it is to die for. Everything in the room is so considered and creative. The bath and shower are positively luxurious and must be enjoyed. The breakfast service was delicious and in the beautiful surrounds of restaurant Babae downstairs. The restaurant and kitchen staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating - as were all the staff at Hotel Vera. I cannot recommend this stay enough and we will certainly be back someday - Simon & Samone.

We just had the most incredible stay at Hotel Vera this weekend!!
From the moment you step in to the hotel you are in for an absolute interior design treat!! The beautiful individuality decorated and colour schemed suites, the luxurious features and fitting are honestly impeccable!! The king beds are sheer bliss, and you will literally sleep like a baby!! But honestly the most impressive part of our whole experience was the spectacular customer service we received from David and Martin. They are truly the cherry on top of the whole “Vera Experience “ we can’t recommend them more highly!! It truly was memorable weekend away and we will most certainly be back 💗

A truly top class fabulous small boutique hotel. |The rooms are just perfectly equipped with many extras. Everything in the room from the bedding to the hairdryer is top quality. |The owners are brilliant hosts. We had recommendations about what to visit in Ballarat and also for restaurants to eat in as the hotel restaurant is not open every night of the week. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return. A real gem.

We’re from Ballarat and had a staycation after meeting David doing the gardening one day whilst taking our dog Banjo for a walk. David invited us in and showed us around. Much to our delight there was a dog friendly room and we knew then and there we were coming back to stay at some point. I booked a stay for my partners birthday in December and it was everything we had hoped for and more! Hotel Vera is truly an exquisite place and the attention to detail and quality of the rooms is second to none! Banjo was made to feel part of the family here which really warmed our heart. Banjo even joined us for breakfast which was amazing! David & Martin you have created something beautiful here, you are both such lovely, warm, welcoming people! Don’t ever leave us! Nana Vera would be proud! 💕

The hidden gem of Ballarat. We celebrated a special occasssion and were warmly greeted by both David & Martin on our arrival who immediately made us feel at home. The hotel has a charm all its own, & we stayed in the Kingston suite, which was spacious & beautiful. Thanks to David, Martin & Uni for a memorable stay that we won't forget !!

Absolutely magnificent boutique heritage hotel that is such an expression of the individual creativity of the two talented owners. I stayed there for two nights last month and thoroughly enjoyed it.
