First time here, and it was a great experience! Not sure if they recently renovated, but the place looks amazing, elegant and welcoming. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. We had the Crumbed Mushroom, Caesar Salad, and Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder, and everything was delicious. The place is super clean, spacious, and has plenty of TVs if you want to catch a game. Will definitely be back!

Called after recommendation by friends. Delicious Porterhouse steaks. Luckily for us it was steak night (Tuesday) and our food was at a reduced price.
Service first class. Atmosphere and ambiance a little lacking but overall a great experience

We had a good experience, got in during happy hour ? 4-6pm, good menu selectrion, decent food (but I was rather full prior, my partner enjoyed it muchly) , amazing server who kept checking in on us. It would be a great place for functions/special events, with a spacious, beautiful rooftop!

We had lunch here after exploring south melbourne market, and it couldn't have been a better decision. The place is very cozy and it has a lot of tables available. Their ginger beer is to die for. The lamb is a chef's kiss and the caesar salad is a great option for anyone wanting to eat healthier. Great service from staff and that's another highlight of our visit.

It was a quick catch up for dinner with an old colleague at one of her local renovated venues. Very nice hotel. After a couple of drinks, I was getting hungry so we decided to eat. I bought a burger with an extra patty. The flavour of the sauce was quite nice and overall a great burger. My friend bought a chicken Parma and she loves it. You can never go wrong with a pub meal. Great staff great service.

I went to Hotel South Melbourne with a few friends for a casual dinner tonight. As soon as we entered the venue we were met with smiles and a beautiful atmosphere. We were very lucky to be served by our wonderful waitress, Margot, who had a wonderful demeanour, was extremely professional and made us feel so very welcome and comfortable throughout the night. Thank you Margot! The food was absolutely delicious (sharing 2 pizzas and a burger), couldn’t fault it at all. Overall, it was an absolutely beautiful evening and I will be back as soon as humanly possible!

Just popped up in here grab some beer on weekend. As Started a sour beer and had xpa super yummy tasty and unique flavor. I would like to get this beer from liquor store if I can as I’m a beer lover. Bar staff also super professional and friendly. I would come back here soon and try have a meal as well. 👍

I really enjoy HSM. The beers are all great. Not sure if they're brewed in house or not but they really are outstanding... IPA, double IPA, and ginger beer are my favourites but my wife also loved the Raspberry Fizz.The food is also pretty good, you definitely won't be disappointed.
