We travelled from Tamworth to Sydney to Katoomba. Of all the hotel we stayed. This hotel stands out. Starting from the friendly reception. The room is spacious and smells so good. The bed is comfortable, this hotel feels like home. The warmth of the people, the food it was absolutely one of kind. Thank you Mountain Heritage for your hospitality. I will highly recommend this hotel. Special thanks to the General Manager, for using his personal car to send us to the train station. When our Uber driver didn't show up. We left the place with the best stay and experience. Thank you and can't wait to visit again.

We’re currently staying at Mountain Heritage Hotel to celebrate our first anniversary, and even after just one night, we already feel so at home. What’s truly stood out is the incredible warmth and care shown by the staff. Every interaction has felt so genuine and thoughtful. A heartfelt thank you to Alex (we didn’t manage to confirm her name but she gave us the most beautiful welcome on arrival), Nigel for his kind hospitality in the morning, Mary, and the rest of the wonderful team who’ve been taking such great care of us.

We also had our anniversary dinner at the Jamison Views Restaurant and it was such a memorable experience. Tracey made us feel so special throughout the evening. Even provided us with candles to make our anniversary extra special, we couldn’t be more grateful. And the cauliflower soup was phenomenal, rich, delicious, and full of flavour. Absolutely delicious! We only wish there was more…

There’s such a peaceful, charming vibe here, and we’re so glad we chose this place to celebrate something so meaningful to us. We’ve still got two more nights ahead and we’re really looking forward to soaking in every moment. ❤️

We are semi regular visitors to the Blue Mountains and have stayed in various accommodation options from Wentworth Falls to Mount Victoria. On this occasion we decided to spend two nights at the Hotel Mountain Heritage in Katoomba. Our room was a mountain view room and it certainly had that panorama. Check-in was easy and earlier than anticipated and the staff were friendly and helpful to the extent of reception ringing our room to enquire if we needed anything. ||In terms of the overall internal standard of furnishings, its a older era theme but comfortable and clean with largish common lounge rooms for guests. We found a similar approach used in some of the other reputable Katoomba hotels. Perfect for a heritage building. Its a clean hotel and fairly minimalist in approach with contribution to environmental standards (reusable body lotion and hair shampoo containers based on vegetable compounds rather than disposable soap and shampoo kits). The hotel is located just close enough to be walking distance to central Katoomba but just far enough not to get noise from the rail line or the town itself. With a comfortable bed, much need restful sleep was not hard to achieve.||The only issue to note was that the curtains in our room was fraying off the top guide rail above such that they did not close properly with one or two segments hanging limply (in one area, a bobby pin had been inserted to hold the curtain up). This meant that a blaze of morning sunlight came through fairly early. We raised this matter with reception on check-out so hopefullly repairs can be made.||We woulod consider staying there again.

Wonderful ambience in this historic old building. Beautiful fireplaces with the bar showcasing amazing views of the the blue mountains.
We were entertained by a wonderful piano player for 4 hours in the lounge which you could also enjoy while having dinner in the gorgeous dining room.
Great food, great breakfast.

We had a great experience staying at the hotel. It has the old charm built in 1908.
The parking is ample and has space at the back and front of the hotel. The check in was smooth and it was very courteous of the reception to show us where our room was, which parking will be closest and show us the facilities within the room. The beds were okay a bit too firm for my liking. The breakfast was just okay. It had a fixed order and you could order only once. It would have been good if there was a platter of fruits. Ideally the first coffee should be free so the breakfast left me not so satisfied. The view was great both from room and the breakfast room. The pianist was as there in the evening, their game room is really good. We enjoyed playing games and a sip a few drinks. Overall nice experience. The bathrooms come with spa tub which is huge and very functional.

First stay at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the ambience and staff. We had a spacious mountain view room with opening windows and a spa. We enjoy the piano music and bar. There were lots of lovely lounges with open fires to relax .

We arrived in Katoomba earlier than expected but were pleasantly surprised to be offered our room early. Service throughout was excellent and the breakfast was lovely with a nice small selection. |The hotel is old-fashioned and unfortunately the lounge area was a little stuffy (which could benefit from a good airing). There were a few games for guests to play, and a pianist entertained us on Valentines night (I don't know if this is a regular event, or just for valentines, but he was excellent).|The hotel is a short walk from the train station, and unfortunately there's a busy road to cross to it. Apparently a path on the hotel side was out of order, so this could benefit from being resolved to improve accessibility. |However great views from the dining area of the blue mountains, and overall friendly experience.

We had a great stay at The Mountain Heritage Hotel, the staff were very friendly and kind, the restaurant food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and great value, onsite parking and fast wifi was great to see.
The room was clean and tidy, spacious, nice towels and very comfy bed, floor was a bit creaky but it’s expected of an old building, would definitely stay here again, our only reason why the room was not 5 star was due to two prominent stains (one very large) in the carpet that were hard to miss. That aside we really enjoyed it and would definitely come again and recommend it to all.
