We had a spare day in Melbourne and decided to explore the Mornington Peninsula with Hop It. What an incredible day! The service provided by Hop It was amazing—we felt we were in great hands all day. Our driver, Steve, was wonderful. He sent a text with a link to all the stops, so we had them handy on our phones throughout the day. He checked everyone's plans as we boarded the bus and acted as our personal itinerary manager, providing great tips and advice for each of our stops.

I was a little concerned about motion sickness being on a bus, but that was not an issue at all. Steve was an amazing driver, looking after his passengers extremely well. I struck up a conversation with one of the other passengers, and in no time, we were out at the Peninsula—the hour trip flew by.

Our first stop was Port Phillip Estate Winery, which had amazing views out to Western Port Bay and Bass Strait. The winery exuded luxury, and the architecture of the building was quite wondrous. We enjoyed a lovely tasting and a chat with the winemaker. Our Hop It bus was perfectly on time to pick us up—Steve stored our purchases in the back of the van, and then we were off to Green Olive at Red Hill.

This was definitely my favorite. The weather was stunning, absolutely exceptional, as you can see from the photos. The winery was buzzing and gorgeous, with lush green vines covering the hillsides. Lunch was overlooking the lake. We had one of the antipasto platters, a wine tasting, and a bottle of our favorite from the tasting. The vibe and the mood could not have been better. We poured the remainder of our wine into cups so we could wander around the winery before our Hop It pickup. There was a great shop selling some of the local produce, so a couple more purchases were made before Steve picked us up after our two-hour visit, as per his recommendation. Just glorious—highly recommend it.

Our third stop was not much further at the Lavender Farm. We were picking up and dropping off fellow passengers on the way, which was also great as we got to have a peek at the other stops—they were all so picturesque with stunning views. What an incredible area! The Lavender Farm was lovely. It wasn't the season for lavender, unfortunately, but we had afternoon tea there as they had a bakery on site. The surroundings were intimate, with lush greenery overlooking the farm and the hills beyond—it was incredibly beautiful. Again, another little shop where I got to purchase all lavender luxuries from hand cream to dried lavender. I would highly recommend it.

Such an amazing and enjoyable day with our driver Steve, who took great care of us and was on time the whole day. I highly recommend a day with Hop It—such a great service, so easy, and you feel well looked after like royalty.

Great tour! John was fun and informative - the perfect guide 🙂 Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the Yarra Valley region. Absolutely gorgeous wineries and breweries (plus gin which is always a win). A really fun day out and not to be missed.

When one of the wineries turned out to be closed to the public, she didn’t miss a beat—she quickly suggested an alternative spot and even called ahead to make sure the staff there would take great care of us. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond like that.

Sara’s ability to handle unexpected situations with such grace and efficiency speaks volumes about her professionalism. She truly takes pride in delivering the best experience for her passengers, and her reliability made the trip even more memorable. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone—it’s clear she’s passionate about what she does and genuinely cares about making the experience unforgettable!

This was my second time on a Hop It tour of the Yarra Valley. Exceptional service. They were so helpful while I was planning my day with tips and time help. On the day Jon was friendly and fun and had great insight on the Yarra Valley and its history. His wine tips lead me to my favourite wine of the day! All round a great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Melbourne!
