Absolutely loved our visit! The staff delivered outstanding customer service from the moment we arrived. The restaurant and bar are top-notch — the pork ribs and pork belly were simply to die for! The chef’s homemade BBQ sauce was a standout and paired perfectly with the meal. The best pork ribs on the Gibb!

The facilities were spotless, especially the showers — clean and well-maintained. Whether you're stopping by for a meal or staying overnight, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Had two night booked in early July at the riverside camp but had the unfortunate situation of a fuel tank leak from the previous stop. Explaining the situation to the staff at the desk, they changed our camping location so we were out front and then quickly put me onto the maintenance team who very quickly assisted with a way to contain the leak and restrict soil contamination until I could sort out a repair.

The facilities were great and in good knick, the food was really well priced with massive portions and the pool was bang on perfect during the day.

The tank was repaired and we were on our way with no issues for the remainder of the trip.

Many thanks to all staff, your help made a stressful situation much easier to deal. Unfortunately the maintenance staff were out and about so I could not thank them personally.

We've just visited Home Valley Station for three nights as we begin our Gibb River Road trip. They offer powered and unpowered sites close to the bar and restaurant or bush camping down by the river.|The facilities were all clean if a little old. The bar and restaurant were open and the food and service were excellent. The staff were all lovely. |Visitors can enjoy a number of bush walks and the amazing views on the property.|Thank you for a fabulous stay.|

We stayed at Home Valley just before finishing the Gibb. We had two camping sites that had power and water. |The amenities were more than adequate with large bathrooms. |The place is lovely and great if you have kids as there’s a playground and lovely pool area. |As we were quite early in the season there was no food provided until later that week but this was not an issue for us. |The bar area was fantastic and we were able to get drinks. |The camping spots are a little hard to navigate how they are marked out and there was a bit of confusion but that was sorted by a lovely staff member. |Would definitely return 😊

What an anti-climax.
On arrival we were greeted, not with eye contact, or "how can I help you" but chatter between the two receptionists in French. Stood there till we were finally acknowledged. Given a map of the van park, blurred and with no guidance or instruction. Had to ask if we were allowed to camp by the river. Further disappointment when we found out they no longer did horse riding tours. Was not offered any wider map or advice as to what to see....zip. These girls couldn't have cared less.
Saw no evidence of it being an indigenous training facility, a lot of foreign workers, which would be fine, if they were trained. 2 washing machines completey insufficient (one out of order). Not only that, I had to bargain for $14 in coins for two loads of washing.
It was nice to have covered roof's (& hot showers) at the river camp but the grass around each was tall and thick.

Highly recommend Home Valley Station. Originally booked one night at a powered site but decided to stay another night. Dusty's Bar is awesome, food and service was fantastic and reasonably priced. Lovely pool and great playground to keep the kids entertained.

Heading west, only a short distance from the pentecost river crossing. Had a camping site on 13/6/25.
Lovely pool area, which was our favourite bit. Shady sites. Great hot showers. Amenities plenty. No camp kitchen but 2 areas for washing up.
Restaurant/bar area really nice. Food good. Had a hamburger and barramundi which was delicious.
Some nice walks.
Great place to chill by the pool and bar after some dusty driving. I recommend a visit

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. The reception on arrival was lukewarm at best — it felt like our presence didn’t matter. We weren’t given any information about the park’s facilities or activities, including the important detail that the restaurant was closed due to staff issues. The park itself appears quite run down and in need of significant maintenance. The shower water was barely warm, which made things worse. For a location so remote, you’d expect some standout features or service to make the trip worthwhile, but sadly, there was nothing to draw us in.
