Bernice was the main person I was in touch with from Home and Host. Their website and bookings online are with good graphics and easy to use. But they offered expensive poor quality basic cleaning service with no care, honesty, commitment and passion as well as bad business.

Home and Host did not make my life easier. Staffs were not caring and respectful and very difficult to communicate with. That makes everything even harder.

Even their basic cleaning service was not satisfactory as they always ignore some major spots/items to be cleaned.

And they don’t offer to come back free of charge to fix their cleaning errors, even if their basic cleaning service each time is left incomplete.

Home and Host caused so much drama with my guests (I attached some of the pictures my guests shared with me!) and also financial loss each time, needing to offer my guests full-refund for the cleaning to may keep the guests happy. But still received very low public ratings on cleaning and nasty public reviews on my home for cleaning, because of Home and Host inability to Clean! The only job they are offering to do and they charge enough for it. This is so disturbing. I wasted so many hours over these matters, horrible experience.

Home and Host did not take responsibility for their poor quality service to make it better.They never communicated about what is required to be done to have a nice and clean place, if needed extra cleaning (e.g., deep cleaning, mold removal etc). They kept doing what they do to just get the job done with poor quality, ignoring all the feedback.

I provided exact instructions for cleanings with pictures and details, but they did not bother to listen/follow simple instructions closely even for a very small simple place.

Home and Host stopped their service for my place with no notice, because they were unable to complete a simple cleaning job each time (but they were dishonest told me they cannot provide service any longer due to lack of staff across Sydney! They gave false information when convenient, very childish behavior and not professional at all). I had several bookings coming up at that time, and had to look for another cleaner urgently. But I am so glad I did spend the time and looked for new cleaner. This unwanted change at the time, really made my life easier long-term! 🙂

Speaking of dishonesty and false information when convenient, home and host was providing the same ‘cleaning pictures’ they took in the first cleaning, over and over again for all their next cleanings instead of taking true and accurate pictures after each cleaning and that massively broke the Trust.

I used home and host cleaning service as there was no other options available at the time, but thankfully other companies have started and are providing caring quality services for community members!

I do not recommend Home and Host for any type of cleaning. There are many caring and quality cleaners out there that they deserve to be paid. And they only charge you after they complete a satisfactory cleaning service.

I lost hours of my time dealing with their cleaning mistakes and receiving and resolving guests complaints and a loss of about $2000 full-refunding cleaning fees to guests and second cleaning fees to home and host, in addition to receiving low cleaning rates in public reviews that has affected my business significantly. I gave home and host chances to at least compensate the financial loss they caused in several occasions after guest complaints, all with no resolutions. Therefore I was left with no option but at least creating separate account here trying to leave anonymous review just for the goal of sharing this horrible experience with my community members, to may stop home and host from doing these to anyone else in the future. Home and Host has been running the cleaning and linen supply for my two AirBnb properties for the last 6 months.
The service is always perfect, with no issues on cleaning or presentation from any of our guests.
Always willing to go one step further in everything they do. I couldn't recommend them enough!

If you're looking for a company that will take the stress out of managing a short term rental, Home and Host is the way to go!

I have engaged Home & Host for nearly 2 years now for both cleaning & Linen hire and am very happy that i found them.
It is a great partnership as they leave my property sparkling clean, i then get great reviews which gives me more bookings and that gives Home & Host more jobs!
Home & Host has an excellent user friendly on line booking program.
They email helpful day before reminders, plus once a job is complete they email to say so along with detailed photographs of the completed job.

I have been using Home and Host since a while and I am very happy with their service in general; not only the cleaning/linen etc is great, more so the communication with them is effortless. In case there's is an urgency, last minute booking or an issue (we all are human) they are always reachable and have a solution. I feel they go the extra mile for us and I feel looked after. I recommend Home and Host!
