Absolute scammers.

15 days after departure, they charged us $575.00 for allegedly 'breaking a door handle' We have date/time stamped photographs taken on the night of check-in that prove this was an existing issue and a building defect, not damage. The door was unusable as any use of the door handle meant that the door furniture embedded into the door and damaged the door furniture cut-out. When notifying us of the charge, they provided an estimate which clearly shows that the carpenter was going to re-use the door furniture (it was not broken).

We have disputed this with them and they have not replied.

Aside from the above, the washing machine was full of wet towels, I can see from other reviews this is a common issue. Rubbish in the yard. Cracked glasses in cupboards. Over-flowing bins from the beginning of our stay.

The home had a nice big back deck, which we couldn't use as it was unsafe to do so as there was a hole in it (See photo).

Don't use this company or if you want to take the chance, make sure you complete a thorough entry report with photos showing the exact state of the place on check-in.

Buyer beware, they will try and charge you for maintenance and defects.

MCC Ocean sands 5 -5/27Fourth Avenue. Don’t stay here, when I got there I noticed the towels smelled of bleach and were stained. I didn’t say anything because I figured it was a budget hotel and I’m used to traveling to different places for work. When I checked out they said they are charging me 118$ for damaging the towels. I only stayed three nights and had no means to bleach the towels (it makes no sense). I also had enough towels to last me the three nights. They also attached a link to some very expensive towels when their towels were clearly from Kmart. I have been back and forth with them for a while, it’s not even my money as it’s a work trip but it’s the principle of it. Also their washing machine had mould in it so I wouldn’t want to wash the towels if I needed to.

We were so excited to spend a few days at one of the holiday houses hosted by this agency but the trip took a terrible turn. During the middle of the second night of our stay, someone broke into the property and stole multiple personal items from us. They came in through the side gate which can be easily opened and closed, and broke into the house through the locked downstairs doors. The intruder went into one of the bedrooms and stole a phone with one of us sleeping right there and then proceeded to go up the stairs but were scared off when they saw a big group of us.
When I spoke to the agency, I asked for the security footage from the cameras that were placed all around the outside of the house but they told me that they were not active. The property was Solitary Views - 3 Sapphire Crescent, Sapphire Beach. This house is extremely open and has multiple accesses from the street, neighbours, beach and garden. It is extremely disappointing that there is no sufficient security for a property of this proportion. Please be mindful of your stay here, it is not simply a matter of cleanliness but of security and wellbeing!!! We are thankful no one was seriously harmed, but we did not feel safe for the remainder of the stay.

Misrepresenting Photos & Disappointment

We as a group were in the end very disappointed from this rental and also with HolidayCoffsCoast, the agent.
We should have been warned after the agent deducted within 2weeks of booking via booking.com, not just the indicated prepayment, but took in a 2nd transaction the complete payment. That was 5.5month before it should have happened.
At time of our booking, booking.com had not indicated we would actually deal with holidayscoffscoast. Now they do. Please, go on google and check their reviews before dealing with them.
The payment was the first disappointment. We were told at that time, it happened by mistake. Now, after having stayed in one of their accommodation/property, which is managed by the door-to-door real estate agent, I do not believe such a mistake.
The house we had is in a perfect spot for a beach holiday, but the quality of the house inside is worrying. The house was not cleaned, e.g. toothpaste on taps, rusty bed frames, dirty mattress protectors, dirty dishes, dirty windows, dirty and mouldy window frames.
Mould is a health hazard. Sleeping in a mould infested bedroom, does not let one feel comfortable, especially when in the process of recovering from cancer. The house has a moisture problem from top to toe.
Thinking of toddlers or unbalanced human beings, one part of their staircase is a fall hazard.
Please see also reviews in google. There are more than one house with this agent with the same problem.
One can wonder about the real estate behind the scenes. Have they knowledge about the situation or have they some guidance in the whole scheme? Well, it is to our own assumption.
Previous renter have complained. So far, the housekeeping team has not picked up their game.
I would not book again and never, if known, use holidayscoffscoast again and I will never buy a home with that real estate agent.

Extremely dirty house, false advertising and very poor communication from hosts.

We booked through booking.com and the advertisement clearly stated pets allowed, no extra charges. After we had booked the property, Holiday Coffs Coast demanded an additional $100 per pet.

We were initially declined an early check-in as the cleaner would be at the property and it would not be ready yet. We arrived early and waited outside only to discover the cleaner was not there.

The house was so dirty and dusty, the bedding hadn't been washed, dirty dishes in the cupboards, dog poo on the grass. The backyard was overgrown and unmaintained and did not look anything like the advertised images. The firepit had also been removed from the yard despite being included in the advertised images.

Mould in almost all bedrooms, dangerous faulty light fixtures in the bathroom, an old bandaid stuck to the rug, dust everywhere, filth on the walls, dryer full of lint, floors were not vaccuumed or moppped with dust and pet hair everywhere.

I was extremely disappointed in the condition of the property, it was such a beautiful home that has not been maintained.

I have been trying to contact Holiday Coffs Coast to request a refund for almost 2 months now and they have not returned my calls or emails. I am now proceeding with legal action to recover funds from the disgusting conditions of the property.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

We attended to the constant emptying of the bowl above the cupboards in the kitchen in an attempt to save the cupboards from any further damage, even though after reporting the roof leak on the first night of our stay, we were told that someone was going to repair the problem.
This did not happen.
It is evident by the stains on the benchtop, splashback and window surrounds that this is not a new problem.
It was extremely disappointing to wake up on the first morning and not be able to make toast, due to the disgusting and rusty condition of the toaster- stored in the top cupboard under the roof leak.
It is quite evident that the toaster has been in this condition for some time and I cannot believe that I am the first person to raise these concerns.
The barbeque looks like it has not been cleaned for a long time with congealed fat littering the hot plates.

It is unthinkable that this unit was offered for rental in this condition and that somehow, nobody involved with the rental process, managers, owners or cleaners, have noticed these faults, or cared enough to have any repairs / replacements made.

Emails are not responded and phone calls not returned. Really poor management.

It is a real pity as the unit is in a great resort setting close to a great beach only very poorly managed. Very much overpriced for the return you get.
