The room was small but it was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was big with great hot water. Dinner was mixed. The pizza was quite nice but the hamburger was ordinary. What was exceptional was the lovely friendly service. We'd definitely stay there again

Do yourselves a favour get off that Highway and book a stay at the Holbrook Hotel or even have a relaxing meal whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, stop before travelling on. We were absolutely gobsmacked at what beautiful accommodation was to offer and the meals were superb. Love the whole farm to table and affordable prices too. Exactly what our country needs. These guys know what they’re doing and have done it beautifully. Thank you for a memorable stay. Will be back.

Only the bistro. The menu reads brilliantly. The food doesn't match up. The system is opaque, our meal was overcooked and dry. The vast bistro area was cold, seats hard.
The food was edible but not appealing.

On our way to Victoria we stayed here overnight. I expected an average stay and average meal. My husband and I were both blown away by this little gem. The accommodation was very comfortable and warm and staff were just great. It's not your average country pub (and some people won't like that) it's more like a very good bistro with rooms. Food was delicious with a small but excellent wine selection. Plenty of beer on tap too. We enjoyed our stay so much we pulled in again on our way back to Sydney!

Very comfortable room with well appointed on suite. Hotel has a lift so no dragging suitcases up stairs. We were there on a Monday which has a limited menu so will have to return to check out the regular menu. The attached cafe next door have great coffee and I can recommend the eggs benny for breakfast. Next time I am in Holbrook I would definitely stay here again.

Very sad… I live in Sydney and I used to stop here for lunch on my way to Melbourne. I haven’t been here for maybe 3 yrs and things have changed not in the right direction. When I walked in I realised the reno defo different from the old pub it use to be. Now looks one of the 1000 freshly renovated pubs in Sydney. Fair enough… I drove 500ks with black angus all around me… I couldn’t care less of a new furniture I just wanted that juicy flavourful steak I always get.. either a rump or a scotch fillet with chips’n salad boom! Don’t need anything else!

Look at the menu.. no rump.. oh well rare scotchy will do me today. there was something written about the side but I couldn’t care less sure a steak comes with chips’n salad… the girl at the counter(very kind) she didn t ask if I want chips and salad or mash’n veg which is unusual.. oh well I ran with it. my wife went for the porterhouse $40..

Steak arrived… chips were from macca’s very thin and very pale, steak didn’t look char e ough to be rare no salad. Didn’t look great. My chips were soft and they steak was mid at best it seems that was cooked from frozen didn’t taste of anything boring boring boring… very disappointed. My wife one was cooled better and a tad more quality although far away from 40$…

Only positive note is that they have beechworth pale ale.. that was at least nice and fresh

Absolutely fantastic pub. Very good service, beautiful rooms. Great food. One note, if you're looking for a quiet early night I would suggest not staying on a Saturday night, rowdy crowd, or you could just go down and join in the fun. Will stay again.

Food was awesome! The parmas were on point, burger looked amazing and my gnocchi reminded me of what my Nonna used to make when I was a kid.

Seriously good food and awesome staff. Thank you to all of you for being so accommodating for our late arrival. We will be back on our next run up the Hume!
